So I've got my hands on an old Ariadna starter set, an old CHA starter set, and Willy.

My next purchase would probably be the latest CHA starter set, but then I've got like... 9 basic cheerleaders (across Volunteers and Line Kazaks) and a Chasseur that I don't know what to do with. The single piece old metal minis look like a right pain to actually convert nicely :(

Does anyone have some examples, ideas, thoughts, anything that I can do with them.

Also related, would Dog Warriors make reasonable replacements for Cameronians? I love the big pupper sculpts :)

I recently converted a dog warrior by chopping his knife hand down and fitting him with the chain rifle from a spec ops weapon sprue. It turned out quite well, but I dont trust my green stuff abilities enough to attempt a kilt.

As far as the cheerleaders. That same weapon sprue would go a long way towards kitting out your starters with some different weapon options.

@Randomcallsign the spec ops weapon sprue is a great idea, i forgot about that.

I just realised if I can get the rifles looking like shotguns, I can probably use the Line Kazaks as passable SAS with some greenstuffing. The girl one might even work as Uxia, too.

Nice detail about the traditional fighting style with shield and sword of the scots

Well depends more on the timing, but was closest I could get to a broadsword and targe

um pretty easy, did the base volume, then added the pleats latter just over the shell. but I am fairly experienced with it, ill see if I can find pictures.

The Sporon is from a Victoria Lamb kit
