Just a quick question, Mnemonica triggers off of the null state, but not sure what happens if it is isolated via a jammer etc. I feel like I've read that isolated is a null state, but couldn't find any rules to that effect. So wondering what happens if I throw a 5 point model at somebody's 137 point super TAG and jam it through a wall - will they be in Loss of Lieutenant or not?
Mnemonica only happens on Null State: Spesitorized, Unconscious, etc... Chain of Comman only triggers if the Lt is in a Null or isolated state at the order recount phase (so having the Lt in Hidden Deployment means LoL). So yeah, Isolating an Lt means LoL to whoever suffers it Mnemonica, regardless of the stuff they have to compensate for that on that model (Morat/Veteran rules still prevent the regular -> irregular, but because those ignore LoL). Note that having your Lt using Hidden Deployment (or Aerial Deployment) will still inflict Loss of Lt, and neither Mnemonica nor Chain of Command can prevent that (only Executive Order could... IF the XO had pop up before said phase). Then again, remember BTS 9 Vs dmg 13 means the Avatar gets Isolated on 1-4 in 1d20, so 20% or so chances (you would have better chances with E/M2 ammo, though, that would mean 1-8 or 40% chance). And remember the target can still Reset (or shoot back if it can draw Line of Fire), so it's not that "autowin" ;)
Mnemonica makes you nearly invulnerable to LoL, Isolation basically is your one weakness. And no, it is not a null state.
Oblivion is favored route I like to use to tackle mnemonica that doesn’t expose you to sepsitors, templates, or firefights. Charontids, Anathematics, and Avatars are all vulnerable as are Skiavoros Hackers.
