Did nobody else learn how to bisect a circle at school in geometry? A ruler and a set square were all you needed to find the diameter line of any circle. Mark a chord (line linking two points on the circumference). Mark another chord at RIGHT angles to this one. Join the outermost points. That line passes through the centre. That said, there are a bunch of arc marking aids out there on the internets.
IIRC here it was plain ruler and compass (any chord, then bisect it, another chord, bisect and check where those new lines cross). OTOH, I think I remember the "any view, in circunference, of diametre is always =90 deg" property from somewhere else (and inside >90, and outside <90), which is what you describe.
@Mob of Blondes @chromedog You guys just are the definition of overkill :D I place the 25mm bases on checkered paper, one takes 5x5 squares, it's obvious where the middle is (middle of middle square). Boom.

Really nifty, indeed. But requires one to have access to a 3d printer. And the skill to operate one. So, me having neither, I'll keep to my dinosaur-analog-age ways ;)
