Coming back into Infinity after a long, long break. Do the Makaul still get their impetuous order in a fireteam? Can I use them to put out an eclipse grenade and then activate the team to use the cover?
If you are hungry for Orders and don't mind wasting Command Tokens, you can always deploy the Makaul unlinked and start your turn throwing smoke (although it's just one dice, instead of two) and later create the Fireteam.
I've started using 2 Makauls unlinked in addition to my 2 linked Makauls (which are each in an aggressive triad) to great success, being able to throw some smoke without touching my order pool has been really nice, plus it gives me extra refills for the links.
If only she wasn't more expensive than the LT Taqeul Spitfire that gives an extra command token. I find it nearly impossible to justify Neema outside of Frostbyte (and even then it's a struggle).
I've had some serviceable results from non-Lt, breaker combi Neema as a sort of spearhead element in a triad with a Taquel CoC (which already has a spitfire gunfighter and a specialist). 35pts for three wounds plus an actual stealth close combat unit in a triad has performed reasonably consistently. (Damned by faint praise, I know.)
