My problem: Veteran Kazaks can be upgraded to Forward observer, Paramedic and X-Visor. Unfortunality, there aren't figurines for these specialists at the moment and my conversion skills are somewhat lacking. Currently, I have written a number to the base of the figurine that corresponds to the entry in the army list. E.g. Veteran Kazak #1 is paramedic and Veteran Kazak #2 is paramedic. This isn't a good solution since I want my models to be as WYSIWYG as possible. Solution: Magnetised accessories to indicate specialist status Does anyone know a good webstore that sells the following accessories? - Forward Observer (Radio) - Paramedic (Medikit) - X-Visor (scanning equipment) - Hacking device (Radio) - Light Grenade Launcher (Artillery ammunition) - NCO (I have no idea) If you have solved this problem in other ways, such as greenstuffing or using tokens please let me know. Pictures speak a thousand words.
I think you are complicating it a little. You can make a lot with proper painting and minor changes. In case of Paramedic and LGL you can use 3d printed weapons/gears or weapon/medikit from other model. For Paramedic you can also just paint red cross on his shoulder and/or on backpack. Forward Obserwer - radio Is Ok for Ariadna, But I think it can be also some kinde of binoculars or scanning equipment. X-Visor - I think the best is some kinde od scope on gun, because it helps to hit without range penalties. Hacking Devise - is something you can easy see on models. usually special googles and specific hand gesture. NCO - what is that?
Can you recommend specific 3d print files for paramic, LGL or another accessory? I want it to be as modular as possible and paint/modify the least amount of models. For example, I'm concidering drilling a small hole to the packpack of Veteran Kazak. If I want, I can attach a short rod there, that indicates that the packpack contains a radio. NCO is non-commissioned officer.
I know what mean NCO - I just don't remember any Ariadna unit with this kind of rule. And I don't know it need/should to be marked. About 3D prints - you can look in the net. There is plenty of free designs you can print. You can also just use ready to use pouches and weapons from Hasslefree, other companies or from historical reduction models acessories. I used a lot of 1:48 and 1:35 weapon accessories and pouches in Haqqislam army. Binoculars, scopes, Night Vision googles and sights, ammo belts, grenade launchers... a lot of stuff.
