Interesting news. Thanks a lot. Especially the info about five new sectorials, presented as a peace dove...
In addition to the video I found this picture of a time line What is that entry on the left saying "Acontecemento explodes"?!? Or am I reading it wrong and it is not Acontecemento?
I'm also trying to decipher that picture, but I'm unable to read that specific line. There are some interesting details, though, like the fact that the two big N's and the smaller A! are drawn like boxes. Maybe those are Aristeia!'s first expansion and the new Operation whatever box for Infinity. Also, I forgot that Don Peyote was destroyed, but considering where in the roadmap that event is placed, I'm not even sure where does 2018 starts.
That's what it looks like to me too. I assume that is not like being destroyed by the Death Star exploding, but more like the Combined Army will attack it and a lot of action will be happening there.
Maybe i catch a sign in the video. At minutes -26.21 appears "yes" on the screen for a moment, so Vedic, Varuna and Tunguska are almost confirmed....or @Bostria just trolling us!
Huh. I didn't think of taking "Acontecimento explodes" literally. Was thinking about ASA player community to be honest :P
I'll quietly hope it means our characters are getting a rework. And/or we're getting a Regular Spec-Ops ;)
Alderaan is goooooone, kid. It's Completely destroyed. It's just Alderaan chunks in Alderaan places, now.
Hey, so i don't mean to resurrect this older thread, but does anyone who was at the LVO seminar remember if bostria said there would be a book released this year that will have all the next sectorals for everyone in it, or if it will only contain the 5 sectorals to be released this year?
I know there was mention of a small book (like the ITS season 9 one) that will detail additional NAA sectorials that are NOT counting towards the 5 released. I believed the 5 released will not be detailed in any book this year, but perhaps one released later.
New Kurgats design is really nice, although I can't understand why A) He is sculpted as a blob on the ground to hide his cool design elements and B) why still have bloaty profile specific rules restrictions to prevent Kurgat autocannon from joining a Kurgat Haris. It would hardly be an optimised choice if it was legal, but at least it would be fun.
It wouldn't? You'd have a Burst 3 (Burst 2 in ARO) AP-EXP weapon plus the rest of the team. 9 saves is more than any other weapon in any link in the game has the potential to lay down, and at half ARM vs Damage 15 as well! 69pts for a Kurgat Haris with an Autocannon and Boarding shotgun is three mobile specialists with excellent weapon options for a wide range of engagement distances, AP Mines for area control and a not particularly high cost in SWC or points. It wouldn't be an auto-include, maybe, but it would definitely be very good. In the case of the Autocannon, probably too good! Makes sense to me that they can't have it.
For a min. cost of 69 pts/2 SWC. This is a significant expense, especially SWC-wise. And we're talking about BS 11, ARM 1 LI. Compare a linked Fusiliers with ML. "only" 6 potential saves, but for 55/1.5 pts for five models instead of three, and with effective BS 15. Not to mention template mode. In reactive turn ML is even better compared to Autocannon, as it doesn't lose burst. Linkable Autocannon would be very nice and potentially punishing in active turn, but hardly an autoinclude.
In addition to what @Stiopa said, Hector can currently force 8 saves on every model under a small blast (That's 24 saves for a Haris link), the incoming Nexus character will likely be able to do this at an equal or higher BS, with cheaper cheerlearders for the link.
