It's been over a year since I first posted L.A.C.S. (Beta). I have continued to work on it, and I thought the changes were enough to warrant a new thread. Changes The way an Operative Group advances has been simplified, as it was one part of original system that I thought needed the most improvement. Buying Agents has been changed as well. The player now has a starting pool of experience to make an agent. The points that can be spent on a new agent is also capped at 10. Support Units that can become Agents can only buy from the Generic Skills list or roll on the Support Unit advancement chart. This was made to simplify record keeping. Likewise, certain units can now no longer become agents, as per specific skills on their profile. Example: Kuang Shi cannot become agents as an agent that can blow up when injured seems problematic. The After Action Encounters have also been adjusted. A major change to encounters that provide a recruitable Agent are now all units that are available as Spec Ops. This was done to (again) simplify record keeping. The Operational Fields have been changed. 1.) Increased to 20 possible environments, including space stations. 2.) The Homefield Advantage has been formalized into this section. 3.) After Action Alternatives have been added to instead of swapping certain ones. An Agent may have to do a test or miss the next game to gain a unique skill. Please read through the attached document as feedback is always welcomed. PS: It's already been over a year, Dang.
