    Hi,

Will this list work OK, or do I need more cheer leaders to support M-5, and Van Zant:

Alright, first of all, let me say I really like your list, and if playing a fun game with friends I would run it on a heartbeat.

Now, I do have some criticisms from the point of view of viability versus an experienced opponent in a competitive environment:

The first would be that you have too many AD troops. You should look into having a maximum of 2, because having 4 puts you in a position where you only have 6 orders to work with on turn 1 (AD troops do not provide orders other than the one they use to come onto the table, with the exception of Duroc, who comes in with his impetuous order.)

Secondly, you have 10 troops, all of which are order hog-style attack pieces. You should look into having more variety of profiles. Personally, I tend to run 2-3 strong attackers with a variety of threat ranges and fill the rest with a mixture of specialists, support troops, ARO pieces and the odd wildcard (like a katyusha or a dog pack) This depends on mission of course

Thirdly, you only have 2 specialists, and only one of them has a good chance of getting an objective quickly. Uxia is brilliant and can do some heavy lifting, but she needs orders, and you don't have a lot. Isobel is good in CHA, but in vanilla she is just a really expensive cheerleader with a hacking device that only makes her more vulnerable. For 1 Isobel you could have 2 FO line kazaks and still have points and .5swc to spare. Mind you, having too few specialist can be just fine in a mission without buttons to push though.

That should give you some idea of what to look at.

Again, don't be discouraged. Like I said, it's a pretty awesome list with some potential to scare the pants off a lot of people that won't ever see it coming (love the name too, on point) but it can give you trouble if your opponent is good at thinking on their feet

    Hope this was helpful!

Yeah, before I dropped it on the table, I showed to an old Ariadna Vet in our meta, and he said not to run it...too many order hogs.

I ran this one into an Aleph force, playing the PowerPack Mission.

So Mirage 5 is amazing. Van Zant is amazing. Tank Hunter is amazing. Too many AD guys to start the game, will cut that back. I lost the match 2-9, but had a lot of fun playing the list.

I am not the type of guy that hates losing pieces, as long as they get work done, so playing guys like Big D and Van Zant are easy, I expect them to die. Duroc killed Machoan LT, two Net Rods, Shukra Consultant CoC, and an EVO hacking Probot. on the top of Turn 1, i'd say he did his job well.
