Hi everyone. Advice needed from experienced Tohaa players please. Kumotail Bioengineers and Kerail Preceptors are both AVA 2 in vanilla Tohaa. Is there any value in taking a second one of either of these? I’m not asking about the individual merits of taking one, but rather if I already have one, does it make much sense to take a second. Thanks
Kumotail - two cheap WIP14 Eng/Doc specialists with D-Charges, each of which can be put into a triad? What's not to like, sure, take two if you need to deliver clicks somewhere or make a card objective happen. Kerail - similar, cheap for what you get if you take two single Surda ones. Two sources of Smoke for a nasty Viral CC Peripheral or SMG+Pulzar flanking maneuvers? Yeah, take two if they fit.
2 Kerails can be interesting in one list. 2 Kumatoils what for? They have D-Charges,can be in triad, can do objectives? You can take 2 Sakiels FO for less and have all above and two wounds, and better weapon loadout.Actually do not see a reason to take 2 Kumatoils. But you always can, experiment with lists try always something new, just have a plan for what you are taking.
Not a fan of either. A Kerail is cheap on points, but expensive on orders, and I highly doubt that a list could support a second one. I've never been big of the Kumotail, period. I could see the utility of one, but it would be better to take one out of a triad and give it servants than to pay for those abilities multiple times.
Kerail can be a lot of fun, especially as it’s the only source of regular smoke in Tohaa. I don’t see me taking two though.
I ran two Kerails a lot in N3, but in N4 they're more expensive (maybe a little better overall to justify the cost, though the change to Para CCWs hurt them a lot) and the meta has shifted around them a great deal. You might run two as part of a body-spam list that tries to fit twenty or more physical bodies into a list but that feels like the extent of it.
