Apologies in advance if this has already been discussed. So, Koalas (and other perimeter weapons). Is it ITS legal to use a marker to identify the Koala rather than just the miniature? (Say, if you had 2 koalas on Standby mode (and thus "spent") and the Moran was reloaded by a baggage bot. TIA, -Scad
Yes. Too many profiles have perimeter weapons that you can't buy with the model for WYSIWYG to be practical.
A CrazyKoala is a deployable weapon. It could just as easily be represented by a marker as a model, just like mines. I doubt anyone is going to give you trouble over this type of thing.
There are some that would be happier if the marker minis were never made in the first place and everyone simply used markers.
As people said, you can use markers to represent them. If you have the spare helper bots, they can also work as proxies for CrazyKoalas.
I wouldn't want to proxy the koala with a helper bot, particularly if I'm already using one. :) Thanks, all.
Well, those of us who are compulsive buyers have several S1 bots... Let's see: I have CE, Aleph and YJ servitors, a set of Crazy Koalas (I will get another with Lunokhod and Taskmaster...), and the set of fastpandas from the Interventor box... Remember, however, that Koalas are S1 pieces of equipment, unlike mines which are S0, so if you use markers for the koalas try to use models for those that are moving (for ease of ARO check).
The fact that Taskmasters have models for both koalas and tinbots drives me insane. I hate having to look 3 times to make sure which is which when I play against it.
