New Khawarij profiles are up KHAWARIJ Rifle + Light Shotgun, Grenades / Pistol, AP CCW. (0 | 27) KHAWARIJ Boarding Shotgun, Panzerfaust / Pistol, AP CCW. (0 | 27) KHAWARIJ (Fatality L2) Spitfire / Pistol, AP CCW. (1.5 | 32) KHAWARIJ Doctor Plus (MediKit) Boarding Shotgun, Grenades / Pistol, AP CCW. (0 | 30) KHAWARIJ Lieutenant Rifle + Light Shotgun, Grenades / Pistol, AP CCW. (0 | 27) KHAWARIJ Lieutenant (Fatality L2) Spitfire / Pistol, AP CCW. (1.5 | 32) KHAWARIJ Heavy Rocket Launcher, Light Shotgun / Pistol, AP CCW. (1 | 28) KHAWARIJ (Chain of Command, Fatality L1) Rifle + Light Shotgun, Grenades / Pistol, AP CCW. (0 | 32) KHAWARIJ (Fatality L1, Forward Observer) Rifle + Light Shotgun, Grenades / Pistol, AP CCW. (0 | 29) KHAWARIJ (Fatality L1, Multispectral Visor L2) Mk12 / Pistol, AP CCW. (0.5 | 36) No points changes that I can see but that's not to say they won't get a tweak when RTF drops. Liking the addition of an FO profile and that DAM16 MK12 looks tasty if a bit pricey. EDIT: Not sure what the 32pt Rifle + shotgun profile labelled as HRL is meant to be as there is a bug in Army - Army corrected, it's a CoC profile.
Haqqislam──────────────────────────────────────────────────1 KHAWARIJ (Chain of Command, Fatality L1) Rifle + Light Shotgun, Grenades / Pistol, AP CCW. (0 | 32) 0 SWC | 32 PointsOpen in Infinity Army NOT sure if i am a fan of F L1 on FO and Coc
It's definitely unexpected, it's really leaning into the whole superior gunfighter theme. Might be a bit of points bloat however. I'm liking the CoC option though, makes Rambo Tarik Lt a viable option.
Khawarij fire team would be quite expensive (in RTF), especialy with Tarik , unless some kind of cheaper linkable cheerleaders. In vanilla I will probably still using spitfire... or maybe new Mk12 due to MSV L2 - that one looks promissing, with it's low SWC cost (but djan is still better IMHO)
Coming from druze I like the fatality level 1. Makes me feel like my combis are basically knock off spitfires and the light shotguns will basically be boarding shotguns. I think these guys are gonna be cool and cant wait to seem em on the table.
All in all it looks nice. I kinda wish we weren't paying the extra points for CC and Poison. In my mind if the Khawarij are getting into melee something has gone wrong, but I can understand why it's there.
Yeah, all the Rifle+LSG ones should have the same skills. It’s hard to remember and also partially reveals private info.
TBH I'm not sold on those profiles... Nothing fancy. I was hoping for something to make them stand out a bit more with that cost. Fatality L1 on everyone, without FAT2 on Spit. And they're really sooo expensive - if someone says that HRL is cheap, than no, it isn't. HRL is cheap on Muyib (also SWC 1, but only 22pts), on Sekban (1,5SWC, 23pts) or on Hafza (1,5SWC 18pts). HRL is cheap as a weapon, but Khawarij with it is still expensive. But it's one of the most interesting profiles. Mk 12 - I worried about it and it's what I thought, and even costs 0,5 SWC. And even more expensive in points than Djanbazan, while having ARM 1. Maybe it''s not that bad, but... PozdRawiam / Greetings
I dunno if they're all that bad. Yes, they're expensive. But these are still the vanilla profiles and we can only judge them in that context. RTF still has a lot to be revealed, right?. In Vanilla, I can easily see running the CoC to back up a Tarik Lt. That's a very pleasant surprise. The Mk12 is expensive, but he and the HRL will be incredibly dangerous secondary attackers. It's not great that the CoC and FO have Fatality 1, however. I do wish that was simply extended to every profile to avoid revealing the surprise CoC. Yes, full links will be expensive. But, in vanilla, these seem well worth running. I, for one, will be painting my dudes up ASAP and run the hell out of them when possible.
I'm going to try out the MSV2 MK12 version. People say he's not as good as a Djanbazan, and for sitting in the DZ plinking through smoke you're right. However, for moving up the field, he's far more mobile. He's a good combo for far smoke (from a Fiday for example) versus the Djan, which is better combo'ed with a smoke thrown at his feet in the DZ by a Ghazi. His superior mobility and damage output give him a pretty good chance to shoot up tougher HI like Swiss Guard and Hac Taos since he can reach them from weird angles that would be tricky to get to given 4-2 MOV of the Djan. His superior mobility also gives him a survivability edge in that up-field gunfighter role. With Super Jumpers, I'll often end the turn with them lying prone on top of a roof after they've done a bit of damage, making them expensive to attack in terms of orders. Models up-field at ground level are much more vulnerable.
Yeah, I'm going to try him definitely too. He still is the most intriguing profile for me. Hunter killer. Yet he is so expensive, that I don't think he can be used regularly. I'll give him a chance, as I did with Zhayedan Breaker, Zhayedan Sniper, all of our big fat HI's. I like to play interesting profiles and they sometimes work really well, but to be honest, when going on a bigger tournaments you try to take what's best and then they just won't fit... Another problem with the new profiles - KHAWARIJ (Chain of Command, Fatality L1) Rifle + Light Shotgun, Grenades / Pistol, AP CCW. (0 | 32) The Fatality L1 on this profile makes CoC obvious. Why even giving it to such a unit? Making it even more expensive? PozdRawiam / Greetings
It's a BS13 WIP14 Combat specialist with weapons that work in range-bands from 0-24". Is it really an issue that it's obvious that that's the CoC profile? What I don't understand is why FAT1 was removed from the non-specialists (well and the Dr). It just makes things way more difficult to grok.
I do not think thous are final ones inclusion of Fat Ality 1 CoC and no other basic profile with same lodout makes CoC open info instade of hidden one so i would expect all Kawa get Fertality lvl 1 some of them lvl 2 and they are all expensive hard to fit in a list thous units with 1 W and this cost when other army got HI with 2 W and a specialist for less
I'm pretty sure they'll also get Haris once Ramah arrives, so as an assault team they will be manageable point-wise.
Not if there's an identical non-Haris profile. So the Umbra Samaritan and Patsy show Haris in Vanilla as it's not possible to take them without the skill, but the Kamau or Rodok Haris don't show in Vanilla.
