    Finally after delaying for a month I decided to write this report.

    Yes, I also participated in IGL which began about 4 month ago playing with Druze (finished 9th out of 114 players), but it is not very easy to remember all 6 games played in two month period and I am too lazy to make screenshots in process (or to recreate important moments from the games), so will just share the playlist if anybody is interested in my gameplay and rosters I used: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLwRugPxBUnKgRYr8EdFMzj4U9s11g8iu1

    This time I want to share my experience from the Rodina Awaits 2023! Infinity Satellite which took place on 6-7th of May at St.Petersburg.

    Nice roster I made long time ago and never changed since then. All the specialists, EVO for +1 order, haris which can complete a lot of cards, fast Kuroshi with smokes. The only real problem is Mapping, but we dont have any paratroopers, so...
    Also, as almost always, 2 Ryukens with HRLs because they provide nice long range table coverage, mines, difficult to be killed fast and actually one of our best long range shooters in active turn.

    Lazy idea of camo-Lt (wanted to be more safe against the smart missile), Kitsune for killing any important models, big guy with a gun in fireteam and standard second group. Lone Tanko because I didn't know where to spend points, but it is still an important solo wandering HI with shotgun, good for frostbyte.

    I thought about taking Domaru-Lt and second domaru/tanko for HI haris (and this is definitely much better for frostbyte), but decided to stick with missile-prove Lt.

    Dont remember who won the initiative, but opponent went first and deployed Jaan with Kaeltar from reserve.

    Right immediately he discovered+shot my central Ryuken, saved against mine and coala using symbiomate. Went forward on a rooftop, dodged Dayokai's redfury shots twice and killed Tanko, while Yojimbo successfully smoked. Then Jaan just hid in IMP state behind a green crate on the roof. Kaauri and triad with HMG advanced forward. Sukeul-HMG moved onto a yellow crate on the left and activated suppressive fire. Beasthunter moved into center, Sukeul-sniper tried to reveal my last Ryuken, but failed.

    Yojimbo moved closer to edge of the building and dropped smoke right under Sukeul-sniper's feet blocking his LoF to the left side of the game table. Dayokai leading the core moved onto a red crate on my left and found out that there were about 26" to suppressing Sukeul, so he was destroyed in one burst without even shooting back. Then the big guy failed to discover the IMP marker, moved closer to a blue crate on the roof, shot Kaauri and tried to shoot the sniper, but nothing happened, so he just stayed to ARO later. Oyama discovered and killed Jaan. Yojimbo rushed to the sniper, climbed on the roof and inflicted a wound into the sniper, but died. The last Ryuken finished the job by shooting already non-mimetical sniper, so opponent started his second turn without Sukeuls.

    Neema with her triad moved to the center, put Ryuken unconscious, climbed onto the central blue crate and killed Dayokai. The rest of Tohaa army moved forward.

    My second turn started with Keisotsu-paramed healing Ryuken, who then tried to shoot Neema, but missed both rockets, while makaul successfully dropped eclipse in between them. Nothing else left to do, so 2 Keisotsus tried to shoot Neema with combis and accidentally killed her in just 2 orders.

    Loss of Lt. Tohaa doesn't know what to do, but to just move forward slightly more with other models.

    Oyama climbed down and chainrifled Kaeltar (Taagma and Makaul dodged). Kitsune moved into the zone to dominate it.

    Win 10-2. Risky move from the opponent to play tohaa without chain of command troopers, but keep the Lt on top of the crate. I think, that with Kitsune, Oyama and Oniwaban it was still difficult for him to win at the moment, but definitely not impossible until the Lt died.

    Double deck extra.
    We drew red Nanoespionage, red Identity check, red Inoculation
    I won initiative, but decided to deploy second because of the cards. Opponent went first, discarded Inoculation and revealed red Predator.

    Moira-sniper fails to discover Ryukens. Initiated Observant runs across the battlefield into my dz, but is discovered near the train. She critically dodges from HRLs and into two storey building, runs outside and puts a repeater while dying to a mine. My entire Haris successfully dodges out of the repeater area. Orphan moves into center, but fails to kill a Ryuken. Smart missile outsmarts itself and tries to kill a Ryuken with direct fire, but falls unconscious. Morlock moves closer to HVT(fox pupnik on the bottom image).

    My turn. I discard Nanoespionage and draw red Telemetry. Keisotsu in my dz shots the repeater. Haris moves closer to a train past Orphan and Morlock, but Karakuri kills them both dead, so cant use their bodies for Predator. Oyama makes Moderator unconscious and saves oblivion from Zoe. Then runs to her and cuts her into pieces. Karakuri fails to FO unconscious moderator twice in 2 orders. Sensorbot on the right flank also fails twice to pass WIP-6 with enemy HVT in sensor area.

    Not a lot time left on a clock, we decided to end the game after the second round.
    Opponent discards my almost completed Predator and draws green Kidnapping. Pi-Well tries to FO my Karakuri, but she crits him in response, so no more telemetry for my opponent since the only engineer Zoe is dead. "I should have put her unconscious first" says opponent, moves his core into the center and inflicts all 5 wounds into Karakuri with one HMG burst. "...ok, good to know that this didn't matter." Then the core moves to one of my HVTs and completes Kidnapping.

    I move all alive models and my sensorbot into first group to have all 11 orders for bad rolls, draw green In Extremis Recovery, complete it immediately using the Moderator's unconscious body and finish Identity check spending just 2 more orders on WIP-6 rolls. The end.

    Win 4-1. Red cards. Double deck makes Countermeasures (which is one of the best missions in the game) one of the worst and most random mission in the game. Could complete 2-3 more cards if we drew green cards instead of red ones. And the mission is even more random in terms of tournament: on the adjacent table both players completed about 6-7 cards each, but there were only 2-3 reds among them.

    I won initiative, deployed second. Opponent chose to go first.

    Yaogat-sniper discovered+shot one of my ryukens(but I deployed the second one in a position which he couldn't see from his roof). Daturazi-master breacher ran to my left, did sabotage classified and hid in a red building. Haris with Kaitok, Rindak and Suryat-HMG moved into center, activated 1 heater and stayed near the red house with Rindak inside it, Kaitok behind and Suryat near the console.

    My big core moved forward, Dayokai killed Yaogat, left Suryat-HMG unconscious, climbed on a white building on my left, moved onto a bridge and because of his height was able to see and destroy Kornak. Then tried to kill Kaitok, but he guts rolled away. One of Keisotsu was left near Dayokai awaiting its death because of HRL(I forgot to move it down) and Oyama went prone protecting the bridge. Ryuken on the right moved forward, saw Kaitok and inflicted exactly 2 wounds with HRL hits. Yojimbo moved closer and put a coala nearby.

    Second round. Suryat-HRL shot Dayokai, hit him only once, but continuous damage inflicted all 3 wounds into the big guy and killed Keisotsu. Rindak dodged coala, medikitted Suryat-HMG (finished Experimental drug classified) and then Kaitok, who climbed up on the red building and killed dodging Oyama. Ryuken missed the shot.
    Baggage bot moved closer into the zone inside central building.

    Ryuken puts Suryat-HRL unconscious and tries to kill Kaitok again, but morat dodges and goes prone behind the bridge. Keisotsu climbs up and shots Suryat-HMG in the back leaving him unconscious again. Yojimbo rushes forward and cuts Rindak, but is killed with heavy pistol shot from a Daturazi behind a white building.

    Third round. This time Vanguard-paramedic tries to medikit both Suryats, but kills them. All morats slightly reposition: Kaitok, daturazi-master and 1 baggage are in the zone, all other guys in heated area behind total cover.

    I have not a lot orders left. The last Keisotsu on the left can try to shoot Kaitok once and then I can try to score the zone with only HI Tanko left, who needs to run forward and kill the baggage bot, but I need to succeed with every order and have only 1 attempt. And since I didn't press a button, I will definitely have less survivors left and less heating units activated, so will lose with a big difference in OP. I decided to activate heating unit instead and pull all my survived units into my dz (including not revealed Kitsune). Keisotsu-paramed on the right flank moved into center and activated right console. In the end I had 111 survivors, but my opponent had 113...sadly, not even 7-5 loss.

    Lose 3-9. The mission I didn't prepare for. Did some mistakes, was screwed by dice in some important moments, and opponent played clearly. With domaru haris instead of Oniwaban Id have 1 more order every turn and actually could have dominated the zone in the end.

    Opponent won initiative and decided to go first.
    The table is a complete aerodrome, both Ryukens and Sin-eater can see almost entire table. At least the middle building is big enough to partially block their LoFs.

    Zero-KHD searches the first tech-coffin and immediately finds an HVT, then hid behind a white house and put on cybermask. Chimera runs forward, smokes her way into my dz (my turret shots one of pupniks) and tries to nanopulse Keisotsu and both robots near him, but robots dodge/save and dying Keisotsu shots her in response. Initiated observant just moves slightly forward, puts repeater behind a yellow crate and stays there in suppressive fire.

    The probability of hidden ninja finding my HVT in opponent's console is 40%. The probability of finding my HVT in two my consoles is 64%. Both ryukens try to shoot Sin-eater (everybody without cover, ~40" distance), but nobody hits, dont really want to try again, so Kuroshi rider spends 3 orders to smoke the way for Haris to safely move forward without being shot by Sin-eater. Haris with my Karakuri-datatracker advances forward, but finds no HVT. Then Kuroshi rides to the left, fails to smoke twice and decides to shot Initiate, but becomes dogged. I have 2 orders left in the group to spend on Kuroshi trying to find HVT or to move my Haris members at least away from each other (because opponent can obviously drop pitcher nearby and smartmissile them). But I am greedy and upset with Kuroshi, so Yojimbo drops smoke near my left console for Kuroshi to find out that there is no HVT... Also for some reason Ninja decided to move closer to enemy console, but then not to suicidally (there is a repeater nearby and 2 hackers in opponent's army) activate it and just stays there.

    Second round. Custodier-hackers from core drop two pitchers near my Haris, kill the ninja who tried to interrupt them, isolate and immobilise both Karakuri and Oyama, spotlight Yuriko and send a missile. Oyama is wounded, Karakuri is wounded, but engineer saved the missile hit. Second missile kills Oyama and leaves engineer unconscious (lucky 5 saves, lol).

    Loss of Lt. Ryuken finally shots Sin-eater, then another one shots pitchers. Robots on the right flank finish unconscious Chimera and Pupnk to complete Predator classified card. Sensorbot moves to the left and shoots Initiate. Doctor becomes my new Lt. Karakuri is still alive and still dominates a zone, while opponent's tracker is still in his fireteam in his dz.

    Morlock covers the way for enemy core with smoke, but unintentionally walks near a sensorbot and they both die to my HRL. Reverend core moves forward to my left, shots my sensorbot, activates the last console (finds my HVT, obviously), completes Net-undermine classified and parks inside the middle big building near my HVT.

    Doc-Lt heals Yuriko, who moves to the right, shots enemy Turret and walks into enemy zone with Zero and HVT inside ZoC of the HVT. Yojimbo on the left flank rushes forward, tries to smoke twice against Kusanagi, gets a wound and on the third order moves into CC to get crit-crit draw in a melee fight.

    The end. We both secured HVTs, activated 2 consoles, dominated the zones (because Yuriko is 1 point more expensive than Zero-KHD) and had 1 classified completed, but I had my immobilised and isolated, but alive tracker in a zone for all 3 rounds, while my opponent moved his into a zone only during the last one.

    Win 9-7. As always, I didn't have to be greedy. (although who am I kidding, I regularly shoot myself in the foot). A lot of text for how to score points in the mission, so not so experienced opponent kind of lost by not killing Karakuri.

    Won initiative, go first.
    A lot of stuff is going on on the picture, but actually the game ended in one round and was very simple.
    I had 2 plans:
    a) guaranteed Kitsune attack on enemy Lt (if I just move closer, drop 1 smoke in between bikes, recamo and move twice to enemy Lt), with 61% chance to kill Teuton (without surprise attack)
    b) move my fireteam and shoot all AROing models with Dayokai-k-pop

    Decided to wait with Kitsune and not risk with this one roll after 5-6 orders spent, so moved with my fireteam.

    Yojimbo smoked the right corner of a building with a radar to block missile's LoF. My core moved forward, Dayokai killed enemy Warcor, Fugazi (flashbot) and moved to the left corner of the radar building from where he put Teuton-missile and Friar-HRL unconscious. Here we did a mistake: we forgot that Friar has no shock immunity, so she didn't die and we didn't count her as k-pop kill. Then the big guy tried to wound Montesa-RF, but he guts rolled away. Yojimbo moved forward, dodged EM mine and tried to kill Raveneye, but failed and became isolated.

    First MO turn. Crosier-paramed heals Teuton-missile, but kills Friar, so Dayokai has only 2 kills in his possession. Teuton-CNO-spitfire-k-pop shoots Yojimbo, but biker drops smoke. Then he shoots Dayokai for 4 orders, but only inflicts 1 wound and gets 1 in return. By the way, Santiago-KHD with nanopulser moves closer covered from Ryukens by my smoke and the radar. Then he stands up, runs in sight of my HRL and tries to template Dayokai into his weak BTS 3, but suddenly realises, that k-pop has dodge +3 and actually evades templates with 85% chance, so shoots with a combi instead. Nothing happens with my k-pop, but the hacker dies to a single rocket. Montesa-RF can't move forward because there is about 25" to my Ryuken, but pathetic 13 Dam red fury can't scratch Dayokai's armour. Sensorbot tries to avenge his brother-knight and shoots Dayokai twice, who just brushes the dust off his ARM 8 (in cover) shoulders. Opponent is tilted, so decides to coordinate shoot with Teuton-spitfire, Teuton-Lt and somebody else. Dayokai wins this panzerfaust duel and explodes enemy Lt. Other shooters miss or their hits can't penetrate the armour.

    I lost no models. My second turn begins. Opponent just decided to finish the game here.

    Win 10-0. I rolled about 15 saves against 13-14 damage with my 8 Arm. Seems like a lot, but actually not if we check all the probabilities of Dayokai not receiving a wound while shooting back twice with his BS 14 in full core fireteam.
    Teuton vs Dayokai:
    34% to wound, 51% nothing, 15% to be wounded (so in 4 orders Dayokai lost a wound and Teuton lost a wound)
    Sensorbot vs Dayokai:
    22%, 54%, 24% (2 orders the bot didn't inflict a wound, but didn't die either)
    Santiago combi vs Dayokai dodge+3:
    31% to wound, 39% nothing, 30% successful dodge
    The last solo Teuton vs Dayokai pzfst duel:
    14%, 11%, 75%(62% to die for the Teuton)

    So right now I can see, that nothing really strange happened there. Yes, I rolled a lot of saves, but that generally means that opponent won a lot more ftfs than he should have.

    As a result, I took 7th place out of 44.
    Finally played with JSA in such a big event (actually tried it once couple of years ago in a two day tournament, but it was a disaster with me winning only 2 out of 5 games against all other 2 JSA players). Beautiful models, completely different feel of the game after playing pano for such a long time. (of course I did play with JSA in small IRL tournaments and IGL tts events, but wasn't successful in a major one)

    Nice job containing Jaan Staar in round 2. He’s tough to manage if he tries to piece trade against expensive JSA models.

    Thanks. But Id say that my opponent was risking too much by just running in front of dayokai. Instead he could just try to go and kill my keisotsu fireteam members after dealing with one of ryukens.

    Despite my defeat I had good time playing against such cunning opponent and amazing person as you:relaxed:
    Mistakes and bad moves were made along the game and biggest was probably that I got greedy and did not try to use SymbioBomb on Jaan Staar when Yojimbo hid in smoke.And Neema,decent fighter but unlucky to be under my command:)))
    About my list,I planned to play Countermeasures with it and decided to squeeze hacker in the list instead of CoC.Absolutly bad idea.Artichokes should never leave orchard without CoC.
