So with season 10 in, how viable is Joan 2.0, especially with her new model coming out. As much as I want to use her in the new season, I would like to hear what the rest of the crowd gotta say about her. She is now able to complete about 4 of the new classified by herself, potentially predator and rescue with her CC stats and movement. Does that justify her in the new season ? If so, Lt option or just EXP Joan? If EXP Joan, then what Lt?

Something I threw together while on the train, this largely follows the Primer on mass armour by Da_boarder

As much as I enjoy Mobility Joan. I think she's better suited for a MO pain train link. That said, I still want to see how she does with lists like this.

I think Joan's always a good chance to form two Combat Groups. Obviously she's pretty heavily discounted, and getting 2 Orders for 8 points is pretty great by PanO standards, so I'd consider running something like the following. The idea being that your backline stays safe and stable to protect your LT and her cheerleaders, while the Swiss/Nisse/Hexa can get most of the work done, well supported by Sensor, flamethrower, mines, etc. Joan's Coordinated Order is very useful for the TO units, as well a the Regulars/Pathfinder/Fugazi for shoring up your defenses, using Sensor or Sniffer, etc.

Once the other gunfighters have made their impact, you can let Joan off the leash and let her do some heavy work in Turn 2 or Turn 3.

    Mobility Joan
    Swiss Guard HMG
    Hexa KHD
    Auxilia
    Acon Regular Minelayer
    Pathfinder
    Fugazi

    Warcor
    Tech Bee

    Nisse HMG
    Auxilia
    Fusilier

    Trauma Doc w/ Palbot

    299, 5 SWC

Edit: Made a slight tweak, moving the Warcor and Tech Bee into Group 1. Coordinating multiple Flash Pulses can be extremely important, whereas you'll rarely want to Coordinate some Combi Fusiliers...

I don't like the HMG Aquila in your first list. I'd drop him for a Nisse HMG, which is 3/4 of the gunfighter at 1/2 of the cost. Then I'd drop the fusilier and all of a sudden you've got 38pts/2SWC to throw in some other threat/ARO piece.

I plan to use her in a Santiago link as a non LT

Heresy I know, But I think a BS18 B5 Spitfire with 2W and NWI could ba a good way to make the santiago link really shine, and give it a niche that the Hospitaller link doesnt quite get too.

I tried fitting her into a list with Tuetons and De Ferson but could really get it too work the way I wanted

Well Hospitallers can also link with Joan 2.0, sporting nice Doctor. Only thing you are missing is terrain skill (mostly for Rescue).

Joan+Santiago link is super expensive though ;/

its the terrain skill the 360 and the EM nades and the nanopulsers that im looking at. its a little redundant with SS2 but it also means that none of the members can be ignored in favour of attacking the ones you have the better odds vs. The Santiagos also just have equipment and weapon loadouts that suit getting up close and personal more than the Hosptiallers.

EXP CCW Joan has been back on my radar since her NWI is a real 3rd wound again.
Still think her Spitfire + Nanopulser kit compliments Hospitalers better than Santiagos though.

Turns out I'll be playing a SOF tournament later this year, which means access to Emiliy CoC, AVA4 Yuan Yuans and AVA3 Warcors.... might be a good place to put a Joan Lt for once.

TBH the entire German Masters is a joke with that Mission lineup.
