In N3, a g:synch unit was basically immune to isolation, because its controlled was the troop that received orders from the order pool. Is that still the case with peripherals in N4? The peripheral rule says "Peripherals are always activated with the same Order as their Controller." I'm not sure if that means that the peripheral can now no longer activate if it's isolated. Thinking about it in the context of Scylla. Opponents may decide to Oblivion her devabot to turn off its repeater. If they do, can the 'bot still run around roasting everyone?
I don't see why not: "Troopers in Isolated State cannot receive Orders from their Order Pool." Peripherals don't receive Orders from their Order Pool, the controller does. "Peripheral Special category of Trooper that is unable to contribute or spend Orders by itself and, therefore, takes no space in the Army List. It is activated when its Controller, the Trooper on which it depends, spends an order, replicating their actions. " (emphasis mine)
Works for me! I really wish ijw was allowed to use the wiki to fix these organizing problems. The rules for how Peripherals work should be in the Peripheral rule (or the Isolated rule in this case), not the Terminology page.
Yeah, ideally the terminology definition would be included on the same page as the rule. There's also a couple of things I want to directly link to each other: I don't think Close Combat links to Martial Arts for instance.
