A few questions concerning the Inspired Leadership ability and Wallace: 1) Inspired Leadership turns every order into a regular order, correct? So does that mean the Desperados are regular and does it turn the bonus irregular order of the Unknown Ranger into a second regular order? 2) How do people build an army around this character? I'm thinking just tossing in a slew of dog boys and some other irregular troops. 3) Do people often guard and hide away Wallace when structuring a team like this or do you just say screw it and have him lead the way? Thanks!
1) It will convert a normal Irregular order, though not a Desperado as you can't have them in the same list as Lieutenant Wallace. Inspiring Leadership only works if the Trooper is also your Lieutenant. It will not convert the UKR's bonus order from Tactical Awareness due to this part of the rule: https://infinitythewiki.com/Tactical_Awareness > This exclusive Irregular Order cannot be transformed into a Regular Order by the use of a Command Token or other rule or Skill, unless they specifically state otherwise. 2 & 3 I'll leave to people with more CHA and 'Flot experience than me.
I'm a CHA player, but haven't been able to play Kosmoflot yet. 2) Most of the Irregular units tend to be aggressive, thus it'll depend on playing-style & who you're facing as to whether that's a good idea. Personally, I don't run that many Irregulars with him so I can have some variety; there's always the Cateran and Warcor, but the former can be a double-edged sword as your opponents will likely guess you're using them, so mixing it up could prove useful. 3) I tend to hide him as CHA doesn't have access to Chain of Command and losing him is a big deal. Until N4, he always stayed on his own to maximise his "free co-ordinated order per turn" benefit, but with NCO on linked units that's harder to choose. Remember that he comes with other advantages, beyond simply turning Irregulars into Regulars.
