Color me intrigued. Dungeon Crawlers are pretty popular around these parts, and may get people involved that don't want to paint up an entire army, set up the table ,etc etc. That having been said, Mierce tried a similar thing for Darklands on Kickstarter, and it crashed and burned.
our warcor had made a dungeon crawler infinity campaign. enemy trooper in the room / section activate once you open the door. He was "dungeon master" controlling whatever mad scientist for the scenario, and every other player was controlling his spec-op from whichever human sphere faction he wanted (two orders per player - same as Last Man Standing from N2). It was an awesome campaign. Looking forward to defiance.
Not a fan of kickstarter, but I understand the business sense around using it. I will definitely be keeping my eye on this one, I am intrigued, and excited for new figures. This does mean I was totally off on my prediction of drone racing game. Now I have to homebrew the racing game myself! Let me just add that to the list of "projects that will never actually be finished"tm.
I wonder if we will be able to use "standard" (I mean existing) characters/units from current Infinity in Defiance.
My main sticking point with Aristeia! is that it's 2 player, so it rarely gets brought out on boardgame nights. Defiance hopefully fixes this.
Nope, need a game where we play together, not against each other... everything else ends up in anger and recriminations.
From the name can we assume the characters have half-inched Benjamin Sisko's ride and changed the last couple of letters?
