Impersonator reveals itself, and a spotlight ARO succeeds. The impersonator wants to go back into their impersonation state, what happens? Does the impersonator retain both states, effectively making discover against only a -3 instead of -6?

The Targeted state doesn't affect Discover, so the impersonator still applies a -6 penalty to the Discover roll as far as I can see.

Even weirder is a trooper in the Camouflaged and Targeted states, which conceptually means that the enemy doesn't know where it is, and also knows very precisely where it is.

Discover is affected by any MODs that would affect a BS Attack

    https://infinitythewiki.com/Discover?version=n4
If the user passes a Normal WIP Roll, applying the same MODs as in a BS Attack (Cover, Range, Mimetism...), the target Marker is removed, and must be replaced with the actual Trooper Model, or Weapon or Equipment Token.

The trooper discovering would have a +3 bonus in this example.

Huh, good point and I now see that it's already on the Unanswered Questions list!
