Hello folks, I am thinking about LI list and i am having problems adding the strength of the army. Have you faced this situation?
Yeah I played a now illegal list with the tanko druze core, a wu ming haris, le muet and a karakuri. I really dont know what Id do now the druze LT isnt a thing. I guess you have to start with a brawler LT because the keisotsu takes up too many SWC(and your expensive options are SWC heavy and you will HAVE to take them). Therefore Id max out on veterans because he will die almost immediately putting you in LOL (and you are trying not to lose I assume... the wu ming special core link would probably not work for this reason). So take 4 druze, the tanko to go up to a 5 man team and a fasid (bonus! its now slightly harder to your kill LT because he has a minelayer sitting next to him, and its so pointless now with 5 veteran orders your opponents may not even try).... 3/10 slots left you need to make at least 100 points up, this is too funny, and SWC is scarce so ..... Scarface works out at 34points/order which is still super cheap.... I doubt the TAG is a good idea but if you take that and a 40pt karakuri (assuming a nice mix of profiles n the druze, I opted for hmg, lgl, KHD, MKsrifle, and tanko flammen) it works out about 300points and 5.5swc 3 specialists, an FO, eng and KHD, lots of vets and MI/HI, might have some merit nope it doesnt sound very convincing to me either...

@East of Irem Anwsering to your comment. I have the same feeling with the brawler LT, but I dont think is easy to take down ain a 5 man link with a mine layer a FFM in the side covering your deploiment (armand has no advanced deploiment n2) . I am having problemns thinking about how to deal with a avatar starting the game and I dont see how except a really good ratio of luck and then get to it in CC, I should probably get another list for that kind of enemy.
Well, if you want both, go with a at last some Tanko, Blitzens are you buddy! All three of them with Blitzen = more buddies. Remember it's E/M2. 2 BTS at half! then to top it off, you have 3 guys with monofilament CC weapons! Our pretty much one Lt. options sucks for Limited though. Edit: man this was tough! Limited insertion for Ikari is NOT good! I tried making one anyway. Tanko Duo was the best I could get. I tried it and it didn't work out. If you take out the Karakuri for the Tanko, what are you going to do with 20+ points left over? You can't do anything because you are limited to 10. The Wu Ming must be 5 with Cliper. The Haris Wu Ming again leaves many points left over. The Tanko can only be in a Core with Keisotsu or Druze. Again not enough points. And better hope no specialists are needed!
I meant, you have already the brawler Lieutenant, swap the tanko hduo to tanko haris and it is way more scary defensively those tankos. Even if you intent to go DUO once you start advancing that haris bonus is for free.
Playing arroud I ended giving up on the tankos and adding smoke and another karakuri (plus HMG to the wu ming) I feel playing everything tougth is not wise. While I love the Wu Ming, the Druze pack a lot of punch too. This is a high firepower list. 3 Panzerfaust, 2 DEP & 2 Mk12, 1 Missile Launcher, 1 HMG, 1 E/M & regular LGL, 1 Smoke and Regular LGL. I believe the Fatality L1 applies to the Panzer faust as well. So Dmg 15! AP+EXP. Unfortunately you cannot have a 5-man core of Wu Ming in Ikari Company, you need to have the clipper. The wiki is the best place to see legal links, don’t rely on the model having the “Fireteam: Core/Haris/Duo” rule alone: http://infinitythewiki.com/en/List_of_Fireteams#Ikari_Company
They are AVA 5 and cant be in fireteam core what the hell!! those fireteam limitation drive me nuts ! anyway ... thx for pointing me that @TheDiceAbide
