hey, what’s up I’m new to infinity looking to get some games but my local game stores don’t support infinity. Me and a buddy split the red veil box and since have bought a few more troops. Anyone know of any groups in the Hudson valley? (Westchester, Putnam, Duchess or NWCT) thanks
OH hai Mark! There is a group that meets in Albany that I know of. My group meets in Manchester, CT. There is an ITS in New Haven this weekend. The NYC groups meet/hold tournaments regularly. @brwncoats
Awesome! Thanks for the info. I was hoping to keep the drive to under an hour but I would be willing to travel farther for an all day tournament
Mark where are you located? We have people from up to an hour outside of Albany that come to play. There is also a game store in Catskill I’ve been debating about running demos at. The NYC group is great they often will play at Nu Brand gaming, and if you don’t mind driving to NJ there is a group at Maplewood hobby.
I’m new to the north east myself and I’ll tell you if you don’t mind driving ~2 hours you can find a tournament about every weekend.
Mark, Me and a friend are also in the southern Hudson Valley. I am in Putnam County and he is across the Newburgh Beacon bridge in Orange County.
I’m in Dutchess county on the CT border. An hour and a half from Albany and NYC. I would travel to Albany for a tournament but probably not every week

Talk about luck. I came here to look and see if there was a group active in my area before spending the money getting into Infinity. I’ve been really interested in playing since I did a demo at GenCon. Is the Infinity community welcoming to new players? Do people tend to be hyper competitive and constantly evaluate the meta? I’m more of a casual player just looking to enjoy some game time on the weekend. I’ve also played X-wing with a guy at Gamers Gambit who lives in the area and plays Infinity. I’m sure if you get something organized he would be interested in playing as well.
Hey Jimmy, it’s me Mark! Hahaha. If you want to try a game I can bring everything you need. From what I have played and gather on the forums and Facebook groups the game is really well balanced so that no faction or list is dominant ( NOT like competitive x wing). I really want to get a local community going.
Haha I didn’t even pay attention to the user name lol! Yea I definitely want to give it a try. I’ve been reading up on the forums and watching some battle reports and I’m very interested to play. I actually sent you a FB IM this past weekend asking you what faction you played trying to get an idea of what to buy.
I am about 1 away from dragons den, in sloatsburg ny. Been playing for the last 5 years. LMk when you guys meet up, maybe i can meet up as well.
