With Smoke and Dogged, they should be able to do some damage and take out critical targets. The Djanbazan will make use of the Smoke to take out ARO-threats and pave the way for the bikes. Once Kasym is gone, the Farzan who is safely tucked away in marker state on some rooftop will become your new LT. Now we have 155 points and 5.5 SWC (thanks, Kasym) left to spend on whatever helps to clean up and push buttons after the alpha strike. What would you use? Is this completely crazy?
One thing I would question is that since you are going to spend orders on Kasym, it's questionable whether it's worth it to have him as Lt, effectively paying for Regular. I guess his +1 SWC should be considered after you build the rest of your list to see whether you really can get a good use out of that SWC. This being Haqq, you can always spend almost any small amount of saved points on extra Mutt or two, so those points become sort of important.
Yeah, that is a good point. The LT order would be useful on him and the regular order is great to cancel extreme impetuous on another biker. On the other hand, I found it hard to fill 7 SCW and the points for Kasym LT might be better spent elsewhere. Also, with Kasym becoming regular, he cannot participate in coordinated orders with his bikers, since they have to be all regular/irregular for that. I could swap this guy out for a Ghulam Doc Plus with a Nasmat. - Naffatun as a DZ guard and decoy LT - 2 Mutts to provide the initial smoke so the bikers can advance safely. - Ayyar will change to CG 1 after a biker has died and take the lead from there to push buttons and sweep up remaining threats after the alpha strike.

Great topic! Tried the bikers for the first time couple of days ago, on a capture and protect mission. Sadly he fell to an intruder's ARO before doing much... Actually I found it somewhat hard to use, how do you deal with the 8" extremely impetuous? Thanks!
I haven't tried the bikes out yet, but my general idea would be to first get rid of any MSV2 ARO pieces with the Djanbazan HMG, a Fiday or whatever unit works best for you, and then advance through smoke. At that point your bikes will already have moved one time due to extremely impetuous, so there is still a risk of getting them killed. I guess it's important to deploy them in a way that does not expose them to AROs before you can deploy smoke and/or take out MSV troopers.
But ext imp means you can’t do that first... I think you’re 100% on with the deployment point though. Question I have, is how do you get the most out of deployment?
I'd try to place mine on the opposite flanks so that opponent couldn't screw all of them with reserve deployment. Other than that it's a matter of what the table allows you to get away with.
@mittenninja Ran a biker list against me a few years back like this, he might be able to provide more insight as I only run Kusym.
Something else I thought about - having some mutts to place smoke for initial impetuous move of bikes. Reason being, their movement is shorter and they are easier to deploy without first Move threatening to push them into the open. Impetuous, you need that to go before bikes. Besides, Mutts are Mutts. If anything, they will cover defence duty to pair with offensive bikes.

(Joan was actually killed by the Krakot, but still).
I personally like taking Saladin if I’m playing 2 bikes or more. Maximise the chances of taking first turn. Otherwise, the bikes will likely be picked off very easily on the opponent’s first active turn since it’s hard to totally hide so many S4 units on the terrain type I normally play on. Strategos 3 also helps against armies with msv2 snipers such as the Nisse or the Gao-rael which can really ruin any warband’s day when the AROs are positioned well.
Bikers will get picked off against an aro MSV2 sniper. It is important to spread your bikes out around the field so that they wont all go down the same lane. Also if you can stage them with Mutts, mutts do a great job helping to screen that first turn.
