On paper she looks nifty. She's a knight with an explosive halberd with bonus damage, T2 rifle, +1B pistol, Dogged, hunting dog, melee skills for days. All on a decently costed unit.

But then I look at her shortcomings; she's slow for a melee unit, she doesn't have great tools for approaching melee apart from the sacrificial dog (who has no chain rifle like Oznat Sync Preta or Shock Mines like Jayth Sync Taigha). She has no stealth, no smoke, no mimetism, no armor, good but not impressive dodges. She just walks at 4-4 at target and hopes she can win the Heavy Pistol FTFs to approach?

I feel like I must be missing something? Am I supposed to use Rodok+Anyat to strategic deploy and bring smoke coverage? I remember her and her dog used to get Berserk but had it removed.

Removing berserk did nerf her offensive abilities, yes.

But I think using her offensively, especially in turn 1, is kinda moot.

I usually use the minelayer profile, and I keep her on some corner of the table to discourage enemy skirmisher units from moving about unless they want to eat those heavy pistol whacks. She also works amazingly well in suppressive fire, because that T2 rifle will make people wary of engaging her, thus spending more orders to get wherever they want to go.

I basically use her like I used the minelayer zero in nomads, and it works.

Even without berserk she's still pretty terrifying in CC, burst 2 heavy pistol with CC23, MA1, and NBW is very strong.
