I'm going to do a bunch of ghulam conversions (ghulam panzerfaust, second ghulam sniper, ghulam FO, etc.). I'll use the bodies from the existing ghulams and hack together something to give them right weapons and equipment. My problem is, my army already has a full complement of ghulams, and I don't want any clones. (Actually, if I was playing Ramah, clones might be thematic. But I play HB where every trooper is unique and special.) So I figure I'll use heads from other models. Doesn't have to be Haqq models - any human head without headgear will do. My problem is knowing which models will have the right scale heads, given that scale varies so much in Infinity minis. Is there any resource for checking whether a given model is the new scale or the old, smaller scale? Any other suggestions for how to go about this and not end up with a bunch of pinheaded ghulams?
Anything made after Operation Icestorm will be current scale. The Pulp scale heads from Statuesque Miniatures also fit great with current scale Infinity.
Thanks! Umm... how do I find the release date for minis, to check whether it's pre- or post-Icestorm? Statuesque Miniatures would be perfect, except all their heads are out of stock :-( Also for some reason they only have female heads, so that'd cover roughly 50% of my ghulams. Anyone know any other manufacturers of appropriately-scaled heads? I'm very into the idea of buying heads separately, rather than having to discard a bunch of worthless bodies.
And the Fine Scale heads fit with earlier Infinity. Hasslefree Miniatures makes bald heads that fit with current Infinity minis.
