The only two things that we still kind of have room to change the design for are Oyoroi and the Karakuri.

For giant mechanical samurai I've always preferred the Gundam look and this takes the cake for me.

And for the Karakuri, the bare bones bodies and spindly waist of the ones we've got right now is lack luster. A design that is complex and and slightly more contrasting to the rest of JSA, I'd like to see the GitS Geigha bot look in some way. 100-gundam-barbatos-6th-form (2).jpg crawlgsh.png

A TAG with a samurai armor would be great. And yes, your picture is very close to what i would prefer.
For the Karakuri, I like the actual models, but would not mind a resculpt to 'geisha bots' with kimonos (a bit like the Kuge HVT)

Wrong mecha anime for the Oyoroi. It apparently lends it self more toward Evangelion.

More seriously, you are absolutely right that the Karakuri could use some love and conveniently Ghost in the Shell is already one of JSA's influences.

Your Oyoroi looks dope, but I've actually never been fond of the design of the Oyoroi or the anime Evangelion. But I'm a snob when it comes to my Anime...

The O-Yoroi was the first model Fausto Gutierrez sculpted for CB, and their first CAD model ever!

I don't think we've seen any of the CAD TAGs resculpted yet, and I'd rather see the last few traditional sculpts updated first (Lizzie, Marut) but a new OY in the vein of the Daiyokai and Tanko but with the little pilot arms would be fantastic.

It's hard for me to imagine that is a CAD sculpt, I always looked at it under the quality of the Lizard or the old Raicho. But even the Evangelion aesthetic just bothers me, yes I know it's a game but I always looked at the chassis for the pilot and thought that would never work and so ruined my suspension of disbelief a little.

If they made it a mechanical version of the Samurai from Suckerpunch with slave arms, I'd be all about it. Since I'm leaning toward getting into JSA well, I'd prefer they get the update first. At least so they can make the army more ocherrent. Which is also why I want the Karakuri to be in kimono to be more like the kuge delegate. Cause otherwise, they don't look like anything else in the force and neither does the Oyoroi.

Also, since you mentioned it, I'm actually fond of the Lizard look, it just needs an update and leave the aesthetic design direction the same.

Old Raicho was also a Fausto CAD sculpt.

A new o Yoroi would be awesome. I already have one converted and painted. But a new one would be welcome.
I have to admit the old o Yoroi grew on me. It looks fast and agile. That should be preserved in an eventual resculpt.

The karakuri are in the right spot sans the old weapons that are completely out of scale. They don't look like anything else in the army but I think thats exactly what they are supposed to do. They are so alien and creepy and easily bend in creepy poses.
I don't think the resculpt need kimonos. But that's a question of taste :) when the resculpts get closer to the official artworks seen on human sphere that would be enough for me.

A sculpt that is in my opinion in need of a resculpt is neko. He is just so tiny next to the bulky domaru that it's just ridiculous. I build my own nelo with parts of a shikami, domaru and mushashi.

The rui shi could do with a resculpt or at least a weapon that at least resembles an spitfire and not this two tiny miniguns.

Crazy koalas and yojimbo with an actual aragoto bike would be cool too ( converted mine, looks dope).

Shinobu? I know there is a resculpt in Defiance so maybe there will be a regular release.

    That would be my wishlist.

The only one I really want to see is something for the Karakuri. I'm thinking something a little more like the Parvati design in Aristeia. Shinobu could probably use a refresh as well, and please Corvus, release another Asuka Kisaragi/Aragoto sculpt! As far as the O-Yoroi is concerned, I actually really like the current one, as it reminds me more of the mecha from Muvluv than anything else. I'm also pretty sure I know where they got the inspiration for the pilot from...

Asuka was grievously injured during the Uprising and was rushed into emergency surgery after losing an arm.

Not soon after the Kuroshi Rider appeared sporting a brand new cybernetic arm...

Got a picture of that art you're talking about?

Without a doubt Neko does need a resculpt but we kind of already know what he will look like... Same for Shinobu. I focused on the Oyoroi and karakuri because we have a chance to go in a completely new direction with them...

I didn't even think about the REMs but yeah obviously those are due as well, I just don't ever think of REMs as anything iconic for any of the factions.

I would happily settle for a Parvati version of the Karakuri, she looks amazing and I wouldn't have to look at metallic skeleton, ala half a terminator, love the movies, don't ever wanna see it in my anime game!

    There's also no image provided.

I've never been fond of Gundam OR Evangelion. :D
That's why I use a modified Guijia for my JSA O-Yoroi. It fits better with the Domaru armour style.

Strange, I think the forum is trolling me - it shows up one of my computers but not the other. I edited the inserted image in the original post and here is the link if people still can't see it: https://imgur.com/a/BUFxHZR

You can find the art I mean when you follow the link.

We do know how neko will look like? Well I guess you are right, a domaru with a jacket and without helmet.

Yuriko as actual kempeitei and not as gui Feng would be neat.

Yeah, the art doesnt make me like it more. Idk why, 5+ years ago I thought were alright and now the aesthetic is just not for me me. I really think it has to do with being spindly. Someone mentioned above, going for the Parvati look, and I'm for that has long as they keep the Geisha look: hair, face, kimono...

I understand where your coming from. But as I said, the spindly, creepy dolllike design is really fitting with the fluff and description given, whereas the sexy fembot is more a aleph thing.
I for my part like the creepy design because it's something you don't often get and therefore is special and unique. But that's taste :)

I think Neko and Yuriko could probably use new sculpts. Neko could be brought in line with the current Domaru sculpts, and Yuriko could get something a bit more like the new Kempeitai (and drop the back fins). Shinobu is already getting a new sculpt in Defiance, so my wish there is answered.
