Hi guys, I am looking onto DBS and wanted to ask you if there are any rumors from CB if this sectorial, similarly others NAA, if they are expecting any new units/profiles in future, at least as possibility or if these sectorial are lets say done/closed/locked?

Also what would you suggest as a good source for story about DBS? Is there any? Or shall I expect it in next book anonced for this year?

Thanks for any info/rumor you have ;)

I don’t have any info about sectorial list changes. If you want some Druze fiction, I recommend checking out the “Outrage” comic. It features Arslan and a bunch of other Druze operatives.

DBS are still pretty shiny and new, the list and Druze profile revamp was released as a Christmas present in 2017 and they have a decent amount of fluff in the Uprising book which is less than a year old (in addition to the aforementioned Outrage comic).

They already have the super flexible Fireteams that characterise modern sectorial design, I wouldn't expect an update any time soon.

I mean, I wouldn't be suprised, that if there are new sectorials coming, maybe some of them will have units that will also be abailable to NA2.

Who knows, maybe Rahma has some "black market super soldiers" and druze (or more likely Ikari) will be able to "borrow" them. So if anything, I wouldn't expect anything on the "rules" side but more on the "new units getting added" side.

But nothing concrete has been spilled so far.

Druze came in right at the beginning of the mixed fireteams wave we're currently enjoying. The showstopper for that book felt like the overhaul to JSA rather then our boys and girls in yellow. Comparing them to the other sectorals that 2018 saw, they do feel a tad anemic. For example, trying to build a LI list for them at 300 is a case of one of their tags, or all of the named characters. I feel that a tiny coat of polish, some shared or altered profiles for Druze/mercenary versions of some other gear would really see them feeling more complete. But Boistra did mention that there's going to be more NA2 armies put out, and so there is some hope for a bit of crossover in terms of gear or a second look at profiles that may tickle down to DBS.

I think DBS could stand to have just one or two more options but I don’t know if they’re actually going to get them. They work very well, it’s mostly just that list building selection is pretty thin. They make a good second faction, but might not be a great choice for a player’s sole focus.

They added the Fish dude to IKari (libertos) but also to a lot of vanilla factions. So there is always a chance Druze will get something sweet.
Although they most likely won't :L

Druze/Ikari seem to be easy second armies for people who collect stuff. Or for idiots who get obsessed with their designs and buy too many of them like myself.

It's a pretty interesting question. No doubt, Druze was a testbed for a lot of the concepts we see throughout the new Sectorials... Mixed teams, the use of the Brawler as a backbone trooper for NA2, E/M nade + X-Visor, missile bots in 5-man fireteams, etc.

Sounds like DBS will receive attention in the form of some new minis, rather than any kind of rules update. I'll cross my fingers for DBS though.

I’m definitely picking up that Brawlers box. A+ lineup of sculpts in that one.

Well, as far as I see, no one has posted it yet here, so: Arslan vs Knauf and that new NGO chick are all in a new Dire Foes pack (info from the Moscow Dacha satellite).

I’ve got the Knauf from the comic preorder and that looks like a new sculpt to me. Good to see him getting a general release.

That being said, there are a lot more people who can take Knauf in their armies than Arslan.

What do you think the story will be here? Does Knauf come back after Outrage and try to put down Arslan, or maybe the new leader of the Druze is looking for revenge?

It could be coincidental, and they are encountering one another in the hunt for this HVT, but I think that would be pretty weak.

Well, I suspect they can give Arslan to QK or to Haqqislam in general. It was said, no character is planned to be mercenary companies exclusive and now we see Raoul in Tunguska.

Also, it's possible that Knauf will join some new NAA and be linkable there. Otherwise he hardly be fielded often :)

I use the comic's Knauf as my Druze sniper, so I field him reasonably often that way.

I use the sniper (jethro) from the outrage minis box for this, and knauf or Djanbazan sniper for the brawler.

Wouldn’t it be cool if a new sectorial allowed us to link the outrage characters? (New rules would be needed).

Knauf, Emily, uhahu, anaconda, dogface + ninja not in link. No way this would work now, but “super” links would be kinda cool.

The outrage missions where you had the folly dagger crew each generating 2 orders was a ton of fun and I'm not gonna lie if that was a CBL I'd totally field it.

One of the great things about Druze is that if you have at least 5 of them, you could play 3 different armies! Druze, Ikari, and QK. So that adds even more to the story I think.
