Two similar questions on Frenzy and Regeneration: 1. If an Asawira wounds a model and then goes unconscious what happens during the states phase? Does the Asawira become Frenzied or is it ignored due to him being unconscious? If the Asawira then Regenerates successfully, is he Frenzied or not? 2. If an Asawira is Frenzied and then goes unconscious, does he remain Frenzied or is it turned off while unconscious? If the Asawira later Regenerates, is he still Frenzied?
1. The effect that causes the Asawira to become Impetuous is triggered on the order in which the Asawira causes the first W/STR damage to the enemy, it is not triggered during the States Phase as such. Additionally, it would be fair to say that this isn't the only skill which is fairly obvious how it should work and that having it suppressed by being Unconscious is quite obviously not intended. 2. Frenzy causes the Asawira to gain the Impetuous skill when triggered. Being Unconscious suppresses the Impetuous skill, regaining Consciousness removes the suppression effect. Just like for e.g. a Mutta'wiah.
Frenzy has the States Phase tag. That tag leads to this text: "This piece of Equipment or Skill can only be used during the States Phase, unless stated otherwise." So, I don't think Frenzy triggers until the States Phase (i.e. it doesn't trigger in the order which the Asawira caused a wound). If I'm wrong, please help me out and point me to the right text. So, if I am right in that Frenzy doesn't trigger until the states phase, will it trigger in the states phase for an unconscious model? I think the answer should probably be yes and that you can become impetuous, but also that impetuous wont be active while your unconscious so the unconscious model can still gain cover.
Mmm, but the skill says "if he causes an enemy to lose at least one point from their Wounds or STR Attribute, or to enter Dead State then he will gain the Impetuous Special Skill in the next States Phase, and retain it for the rest of the game." Arguably, that means the user will get that skill regardless what happens because the words in this skill has already been activated.
