The game was very simple 3 Zhanshi vs 3 Ghulam, no frills, just learning the rules. I wish I had taken pictures, but here's my notes:

3 vs 3, no turn count just playing with moves and shoots and ARO's

    • 2 guys watching the main routes across the map, 1 guy on overwatch in an elevated position
    • opponent looks like he's going to push 2 on left flank and 1 on right to split me
    • lol eat ARO Haqq scum! Overwatch is doing his job
    • Haqq moves into a position where they comfortably camp, which forces me to be aggressive now
    • Cautious Move is my friend, except when there's nothing to hide behind
    • Why don't my guys have grenades to flush the enemy out???
    • This is where camo, grenades, and templates would come in handy
    • Ah, climbing! My opponent is not thinking 3D, he's too used to "other" games
    • BANG BANG, one enemy model left!
    • WHO LEFT THIS BANANA PEEL UP HERE?! Now it's 2 to 1.
    • Pincer move!
    • I have grossly misjudged the view to my target, ARO brings us 1 to 1.
    • FTF roll, we both rolled a successful shot, the exact same number, so they shot each other, and then both bled out together, a true love story.
    Things I learned:
    1. Strength in numbers
    2. It never hurts to have someone watch you back
    3. Vary the placement of terrain a little more
    4. IF you can take your time, do so
    5. Put as many modifiers in your favor as you can, you can't control the dice
    6. Weapon variety is the spice of life, those light shotguns on the Ghulam can be a surprise

Sounds fun! One minor point, in case of a tie, if one is a critical and the other not, that roll wins, otherwise, they cancel each other out.

Neither were critical hits, but we had been playing for sometime by that point, so we just decided they shot each other.
