Arslan and Gromoz form Fireteam:Duo for order efficiency. They will stay close to the Core link in order to cover more angles and replenish it whenever necessary. Gromoz boosts the Clipper and spotlights things.

Brawler Haris for the 3-Burst MSV2 MSR. The doctor with Nasmat should come in handy from time to time.

The Core is 3 Druze + Clipper + Brawler Engineer. A reasonably self-sufficient core with 3 Specialists and the Clipper as the heavy hitter. Should have an answer to a lot of things on its own, but shines with Pitcher, FO and MSV2 sniper support.

Combat Group two is Saito plus a Hunzakuts. It's not ideal with only one order on Saito, but I value the order efficiency in CG 1 too much to change Saito around. Like this, I will probably have him camo'd somewhere up the board in order to give the Hunzakuts an additional order while he is waiting for his prey. Alternatively, I can field him in HD and lose the order to make him more of a deterrent for my opponent. As soon as a member of CG 1 dies, I can switch him to the bigger order pool, to make more use of him in turn 2 or 3.

Comments and suggestions are very much welcome :)

One quick observation, the Engineer can't join the link if he has a G: Servant.

You can drop the Nasmat for a Warcor in group 2 though. Remember that you can use a Command Token to convert the Warcor's Irregular order.

Personally I feel that the harris in Bayram is not a cost worth paying (most of the time) with the prevalence of free fireteam Duo in the faction.

Saito needs orders to work, so you probably want him to be in your main battle group.

@oldGregg I don't think the engi is worth giving up the HMG for.

I'd probably get something(s) cheaper even if it cannot join the fireteam and upgrade the Shock Marksman to the HMG. You already have enough redundancy without the extra brawler and only have so many command tokens to reform the link. Invariably you will need to use some for other reasons as well.

Edit: As I discovered at Rumble last weekend, a Pathfinder is not only useful but sometimes necessary and it pairs up well with what you have in your list already.

I'd play this which is pretty close to what you have... (2nd Edit: In fact, I think I will play this)

Nice. I think I’ll give that a spin this week!

So looking at it again, it might be good to drop a hunzakut and the warcor for a Peacemaker... while I hate to give up a hunzakut the peacemaker is probably a better fit when you can enhanced reaction a first turn reactive, and you have Saito & pathfinder to make up for the lost specialist. Heck you could even downgrade Saito to camo and no one will see him coming thinking he's a hunzakut instead. ;)

Oh man, I don’t know. I’ve learned to love the hunzakut and have gotten more mileage out of her than any unit I’ve played with. This is in haqqislam and the one dbs game I’ve played. It will take a lot to convince me not to play her when I can - I’ve even thought about running two in dbs.

*Edit: I think you made a great case for the Peacemaker, but I don’t know how to justify zero hunzakut, when I know I COULD take two... I may just be acting foolish.

Normally I am a big advocate for the Peacemaker, but if your missions include any button pushing I would be sad to not have any Hunzakut. If anything I would consider dropping the Warcor and Pathfinder for a second Hunzakut.

M can someone teach me how to use the peacemakers properly? They have died without accomplishing anything in the four times I've tried using them in Pano. In the first turn as well.

Hunzakut at least has camo, smaller base size and no negative mods on her dodge to keep her safe ..

I'm a huge advocate for Hunzakuts, but last weekend having two Clipsos stay in HD on the center objectives in Power Pack with the final active turn was a 4 point swing I couldn't prevent without a Pathfinder. It was irrelevant in the end, but it wouldn't have been if I actually had a fighting chance after turn 1.

The Pathfinder is not something I normally skip on, but I did and I really needed it in my one loss. I'm going to have a hard time not including one specifically for button pushing missions and sometimes that might mean making the choice between it and a second Hunzakut... I really hope not, but it's not an easy choice anymore.

I didn't make a case for zero hunzakuts. I love them way to much not to take one always, and two as often as I can.

I apologize! I was replying to this on my way home from an insane day at the office! I just caught my mistake.

I will have to try your suggestion out as soon as I can get my hands on a peacemaker - I do really love two hunzakut for Druze though. Normally I run one with haqqislam, so I think I could make your list work without too much sorrow.

Yeah the main list I ran last weekend had 2 hunzakuts, Saito, Peacemaker, and Le Muet... all the deployment shenanigans Bayram has to offer. It was a lot of fun!

If you are unsure about playing him, then don't take him to anything that counts. He's not an easy unit to play and sometimes he will not be worth what you pay for him.

Proxy him in pick up games and see what you think.

Where/how do you find the most value when playing him?
And where do you take out points to fit him in your list?

As to the value question, it depends on scenario and Matchup. It all plays off of his ODD, his two breaker pistols means he can do well up close, but he is a unit that can drop TR bots, or tough 5 man links by stacking modifiers. He made a good DT in Acquisition and in rescue.

He's a good reserve model too, once your opponent sets up to deal with your link you can place Le Muet on an unexpected attack vector.

As for the points question, he's expensive but I was still running 14 orders. I guess I had to give up the Killer Hacker and the Pathfinder, which was painful.
