Original question was asked here(not by me though): https://www.facebook.com/groups/WGCInfinity/permalink/4407605289262774/?sfnsn=mo&ref=share In the thread it is suggested that Fireteam: core is not a skill and hence not required to create a fireteam: core if you can be in one according to the sectoral fireteams document. The example is perseus being able to create a fireteam: core consisting of him and 4 grenzers since he counts as a securitate for composition, even though he does not have a fireteam: core skill. Any clarification would be great :)
There is no Fireteam(Core) skil, only these exists. As seen in the requirements for creating a teams, core does not require anyone to have Core listed... ...while for contrast, Duo does require someone with the Duo skil. Therefore you may have a securitate team that is composed of perseus FTO and 4 wildcard (grenzer or others). In this case, as indicated in the common requirement, when using wildcard (grenzer) you must have at least 1 of the listed unit or 1 count-as, Perseus in this case checks off counting as securitate. (which makes it odd that Jelena Securitate doesn't fulfill that requirement)
I guess the question was if this was correct and there wasn't a rules interaction hidden somewhere that had been overlooked. But thank you for the dose of unnecessary internet snarkiness, reminded me why I stay off the forums normally.
and I equally stay off those facebook discussion group normally, i skimmed thru and there is so much debate for something simple that is already in the rules. forum quotes actual rules and are limited to a reasonably small amount of post for a question.
I do apologize for my comments, if you had asked the question and i wouldn't have read that it came from acebook.com/groups/WGCInfinity/permalink, I'm sure my response would have been more amicable and I would simply confirmed that the core skill does not exist and is not required. I really don't know if it was because of WGCI (who often have debates that fall over here) or just the fact that an ongoing question is already being discussed and is now asked again in the forum (which is kind of the same as creating two thread to ask the same question) (and posting cross meta/cross platform is sometime done by someone who lost his argument in one platform and wants to get support for his opinion in another platform)
Thank you and I did appreciate the direct rules citations. Yeah, I'm not really on either side, I just figured that the forums would give a more official answer or a corrected one than WGC :)
I made the mistake of checking. WGC is as fucked as always. I’m convinced that virtually everyone who posts in that fb group is illiterate.
