I'll be participating in a rather small tournament soon. I've been playing Infinity for just under a year and a half now and figured I should improve my game a bit, starting with list building and some advice from other, maybe more experienced players.

Two of the missions at the upcomming tournament require a ton of specialist, whith the last one being Firefight, which kind of demands as few specialists as possible.

So here is my current list for Firefight. Note, that the tournament will allow Spec-ops rules, which I have zero experience with:

    Open in Infinity Army

With Varuna on the rise in my meta and me getting brick walled by an ORC Feuerbach in a Core link last tournament, this time I will try to get up close and personal.

With all the camo and mimitism around I decided to ditch the Sukeul HMG for the Gao-Rael Spitfire, joined by my Spec-ops with BS12, mimitism and a vulkan shotcun. He also has climbing plus for alternative angles of attacking. The obligatory Makaul filling out the triade.
This will be my primary attack peace, though I won't necessarily move them too far in the first turn.

Either the Igao or the Makaul/Makaul/Sakiel FO triade from the second combat group will try to advance in my first turn in order to disrupt the enemy defence as good as they can. I do not feel too comfortable pocking the FO profile for the Sakiel, though. I might just be donating a specialist kill to my opponent.

The Nikoul Sniper, Libertos and Clipsos Minelayer, as well as the 3 Chaksa HFT are going to provide speed bumps for an enemy alpha in case I have to go second.
I could see myself cutting the 3 Chaksa for 2 Kaauri (SMG/Combi rifle), as they would fulfill a similar role but provide better protection against enemy infiltrators.

Rounding out the squad are two Kaeltar with Mates, who will hunker down somewhere with the Kamael lieutenant, and a Kerail Preceptor with one Symbiobeast for smoke shenanigans and as another potential alpha striker.

While this list seems to have some flaws, like having an obvious lieutenant and three specialists for my opponent to kill, I feel rather confident playing lists with an abundance of orders.

Still, I have no experience with Spec-ops and very little experience with Firefight, so maybe I am missing sonething.

    Advice and criticism is appreciated.

I think the Diplomatic Delegate is going to be a liability more than an asset. If you set her up to ARO she contributes to your opponents specialist kills. Instead of dropping all 3 Chaksa you could drop 2 and the Delegate to get for 2 Kaauri SMGs.
The Kealtar will be a big target as well if you keep them with the LT. By killing the Kamael first one of the Kealtar will become the Lt, so your opponent could grab 2-3 Lt kills in a single turn if the are able to find a way to get at them.
The Kerail Preceptor is very useful for grabbing things from the panoplies because they can get into base in a full move, and both him and the Surda can attempt to pull from them in the same order as long as both are in base to base with the panoply at some point in the order.

Didn't think about the Delegate beeing a specialist, too, thanks! I simply had 5 points left over, thus he would be the obvious inclusion.
Gonna cut him an probably set up a good defense for the Lieutenant. Seperating him from the CoC Kaeltar is also a good idea.

Chain of command is an optional skill so you don't have to use it. I'd still take it in firefight even though it contributes to being a specialist. The mates definitely outweigh the risk

For some reason I saw the Automatic Skill, and did not read all of the Tags. Good to remember.

I also thought it was mandatory.
This makes them even better for this scenario, thanks for pointing it out.
