Why do the current profiles have a Zhanying (Fireteam: Haris, Sensor) for 27 points if there are only 2 Zhanying's available? admittedly im new to this game and I am not clear on how fire teams work. Do you not have to put the same troops together unless otherwise stated? Same thing with the IMPERIAL AGENT (Chain of Command, Fireteam: Haris). Again 2 available. Can I take that unit and just put any 2 other troops with him?
Being a new player... prepare for some advanced stuff since we're talking about link teams here. Going off the Zhanyings AVA that you're listing... you're looking at vanilla (the main Yu Jing faction and not a sectorial). The load out with the Haris ability is available to take in vanilla but its not able to legally form a Haris team in vanilla (only sectorials are allowed to form fireteams bigger then a Duo unless you're Tohaa). Since its not a restricted load out (some sectorials have access to load outs the main faction doesn't) for a sectorial it also appears in vanilla. Also there is no unit called Imperial Agent... listing of Chain of Command though means you're talking about the Pheasant. That load out you have listed is not available to vanilla Yu Jing. It is only available to the Imperial Service. If you haven't started using the army builder I would suggest doing so: https://army.infinitythegame.com/ It shows what load outs are available in which force. If you look at the vanilla Pheasant you'll note there is no Haris profile. However, go to Imperial Service and you'll see it there. Abilities, weapons, and characteristics are linked to the wiki. So if you don't know what something does, click on it, and it will bring you to the wiki page explaining it to you.
Okay, this makes sense. Now I am starting to understand how the profiles are laid out a little. It is was confusing for me because they are using the same profile cards in the 4.0 profiles document for both sectorial and villain Is what you are saying is that some units will not be available to a Vanilla army as they are a sectorial army or that some profile will be different than the Vanilla. Things like stats differ? Yup, this is confusing as it is listed in the Yu Jing army on page 13 of the 4.0 profiles. I have started using them. I have read some comments that it is not up todate. I also have an issue with the online version where numbers are being spelled out and not having numerical values. Is there a fix for this? Some times the points value at the top will say "NaN" what does that mean? This is the Infanity Army desktop app. The screen shot is of a ZHanying Imperial Agent. As you can see the profile says (Fireteam: Harris) Thanks for your help.
There are 2 sites you will want to build a list for infinity. In browser web version of infinity army(most frequently updated) And Infinity wiki http://infinitythewiki.com/en/Main_Page The most important part if infinity wiki is the list of fireteams. This is where the up to date fireteam information is compiled. http://infinitythewiki.com/en/List_of_Fireteams I'm afraid that infinity army alone does not hold all the information, but you won't need a paper rulebook.
Basically, Haris profiles should (for most units) not be shown for vanilla, but sometimes they aren't filtered out. The problem with numbers spelled out I have never heard of before. Sounds like it's a browser or OS extension causing it, but it's proving fairly ungoogleable due to grammar page hits I get that problem across multiple platforms as well, afaik there is no obvious fix and I don't know if it's been bug reported yet. The blue and white style is unfortunately both an insult to aesthetics and aggressively bright.
1) Sometimes sectorials will have unique loadouts for troopers, and sometimes SWC costs will differ. Stats stay the same though. 2) The profile block is designed to work for both Vanilla and Sectorial to prevent repitition of unit profiles in the pdf, the sectorial chart at the end of each section then describes sectorial AVA and legal Fireteam options. 3) Spelled out numbers means you're on the Spanish language site and Google is trying to translate the army builder. NaN points totals happen when you have multiple army builder tabs open. 4) The Web app is usually at most a week out of date. The Android app was broken for a time but is now fixed (Apart from the new TAK and Aleph Operations units that have a fix incoming). 5) Looks like an oversight, technically it's not against the rules to take the Haris profile in vanilla, you're just wasting 1 point and 0.5 SWC on a useless skill so I wouldn't recommend it.
