It’s all in the title? What are your favorite underrated things to use in all flavors of ALEPH? Why are they your favorites? How do you use them? Unit: Patroclus. In my mind, he is the best alpha striker in the game. He’s not hackable. He can use his echoes to clear mines and perimeter weapons. He can get things to -12 absurdly easily. His 6 inch move is amazing for cautious moves, jumping to hard to reach positions, and just getting where he needs to be. He is the obviously a tough pill to swallow with his high cost, low bts, and lack of shock immunity, but I have used him to completely wreck opponents. Duo: CSUs. I don’t know if they count as underrated, but I rarely see the duo on the table. They have an amazing suite of weapons for dealing with most problems, and the fact that they are specialists is amazing. In my mind, there is one profile and it is the specialist with rifle and light shotgun. They can deal with camo, even oppose superior gunfighters in their active turn, trade with nanopulsers if need be, and generally are fantastic road blocks. Enomotarchos: Myrmidons with combi rifles or boarding shotguns. Having a burst three shotgun with ODD or a burst four combi with the same is no joke. They can make gun fights completely lopsided in their favor. Steel Phalanx’s generally high statlines and capabilities really shine through with these two profiles in my experience.
Yeah I usually have a Myrm with Combi and a Myrm officer with BSG. Simple weapons become really deadly with ODD.
As an add-on to the CSUs, their special Duo with the Deva. Using the MSV2 spitfire and one of the specialist CSU, the duo can clear obstacles, including camo aro pieces and still press buttons.
Deva FO. Haris or mixed deva fireteams - devas are expensive and somewhat plain, but i find them to be quite good and undervalued.
my fav fireteam is a yadu haris consisting of shakti, a ruda/smekh and an asura; an option for any situation hehe
