I just wanted to express how fantastic I think this new FAQ is, it really settled a lot of sore points in my meta. I haven't had time to see if it opens any new cans of worms, but it really looks a like a great step in the right direction and I'd like CB to know I think they've done a great job. If we're going to get these kind of clarifications frequently then I think CB is going to be well on the way to cleaning the ruleset up and securing the future of this wonderful game.
Heh, I just wanted to create the same thread. :-) Best FAQ by far yet. :-) @Everyone who participated in writing the FAQ: You did a great job!
I said it elsewhere: I disagree with some of the specifics but the direction is extremely positive. You've tackled some thorny questions and the answers are by and large extremely excellent. Extremely well done, keep it coming!
Thanks for the thread and thanks for the FAQ update, guys. It's a very good direction, keep up the good work! :)
I love this new FAQ, I just regret the change in the rule making discover+discover illegal. It was a very nice tool agains impersonation/TO with their -6 mods
This is what the FAQs should have looked like a while ago! Real questions getting solid answers! Super happy about this. Also glad to see a lot of the ways we house ruled things in my local area seem to be how they are supposed to be played anyway.
I'm really glad they addressed some of these questions; a couple of them weren't the answers I was hoping for, but the fact that there's definitive answers is an upgrade from ambiguity.
Consider me a fan as well. Even if there are a couple bits I'm going to need to get used too, just fixing the LOF rules up nicely is a huge boon.
A part of me liked the idea that my Rodoks were specifically trained to shoot enemies in the ass from weird angles, but it had to happen.
