What is the intended effect of E/M CCWs N+E/M ammo combination?
    1. 1 ARM save (potentially causing a wound) and 2 BTS/2 saves (each potentially causing ISO and IMM-B states)
    2. 2 BTS/2 saves (each potentially causing a wound, and ISO and IMM-B states)

2, it combines the effects of Normal ammo (wound on failed save) and EM (2 rolls at half BTS, fail gives ISO and sometimes IMM)

Normal ammo isn't tied to ARM in N4.

I read it as 2. The save attribute column in the weapons chart just says BTS, not ARM.

    2. This was confirmed by @ijw in the JSA Forum.

The EM explanation seems weird as fuck... what's the point of isolating a dead chunk of meat? the EM part of this question becomes almost only relevant against TAGs, making EM ammunition plain overkill, just a curiosity in most of the cases. but OK

Because without it, an E/M CCW is only useful against HI/REM/TAGs. E/M CCW were "always" like this (causing wounds and also isolating high-tech toys).

weah I understand, but I think applying both effects (Wound and EM) over the same BTS roll is weird. For me, makes more sense to make one roll for each outcome/effect. 3 BTS rolls with BTS/2 one of them causes wounds the other two the altered states. this way they can combine different ammo types without weird overkilled combinations. N+stun, DA+para,...

And I don't understand Why they´ve made BTS/2 inside EM when they could have made it EM+AP. Weird stuff man, weird stuff!

But well, it's their game and they make it as they wan't.

For what it's worth, E/M CCW seems to be priced the same as a DA CCW.
