Some mods to the aquarium ornaments. Flock and left over plants for a bit more interest and to tie in to other scenery pieces.

Even more aquarium pieces for my jungle board. Not using urban walls makes it hard coming up with enough total cover and LOF blocking on outdoor tables sometimes.

Will get all the pieces together next week and colour match a little and pack out the tell tale signs of fish caves with some of the many bush/trees I made last a while back.

Like I said before, for larger resin pieces you get a lot for not much money. All of these were around £10-11 pounds on amazon, probably could get cheaper on eBay. Larger brown one was £13. I stripped the cheap plastic trees badly glue-gunned on. Packed the holes left with sponge bushes or green stuffed them. Mixed some flocks together and covered the green painted areas with gorilla glue PVA wood glue. I will spray with clear coat to finish. Very quick really.

Been busy working on my aquarium jungle rocks. I filled the fish caves with plants I made a while back. Still need to flock the patchy bits to match newer ones. Also go to town with a hot glue gun inside to make sure they don't come unstuck.

Some Paradiso terrain I have been working on...

Originally I bought a mat of the bushy stuff, a mat of tall darker green 'trees' plus a mix of colourful pieces. Image below shows the sort of things.

Parts for the feed-me ones are in the front right. These plants for the most part have a long stalk with pairs of leaves branching off opposite to each other. With a small nail clipper I cut them up into the pairs and hot glue gunned them onto a washer. I glued the larger leaf pair down then the next at 90 degree angle and so on. Took a weekend and a lot of burnt fingers but made silly amounts of plants. Nice amount of colour to break up the green of jungle woods.

Been meaning to create some scatter terrain for my Jungle tables for a while. Been using real rocks which is less than ideal (although realistic). So after a bike ride in the woods, I present, tree bark rocks and alien plants made from pine cones.

Real easy to produce and free to do. Put the pine cones in the oven to dry them, debug and make them open up. Trimmed the top and turned them upside down. Airbrushed some white primer, two colours then dry brushed a little pink.

Tree bark I broke into pieces and used an old toothbrush to clean off the crumbly bits. Then simply just undercoated black, then dry brushed 2 different shades of grey. Decorated the bases with flock and bush clumps which fill them out nicely. Will clear coat everything today.

Walked past a fallen tree the other day so grabbed some of the bark. Love free terrain [IMG]

Broke it up into smaller pieces and cut off the worse of it. Gave it a blast in the microwave for a few minutes to kill any nasties and got soapy water and a toothbrush to it.

Needs painting and dry brushing still.

More fish tank resin. Each running about £1.40 each. I particularly like the yellow tube type piece

Sides made up from PVA and Plenty/Bounty tissue paper on a cork tile base. Given a few days to dry. Primed, air brushed then poured in water effect.

It's isn't perfect as I clear coated the edge once flocked which fogged the edge of the water a little. Then applied plants everywhere which is a good way of hiding bubbles in the resin and imperfections.

    Urban stuff....

After the awesome guys at Microart Studios kindly granted my request for a sheet of ladders, I have been making my building roofs far more playable. No more untouchable prone campers.

I found that the balconies were very rarely used, so have converted to landings for access to the other floors. A little work with the Dremmel later...

I have begun fitting some LED lights into my apartment blocks. They have no interiors to play in so its a good use of the space I think. I even drilled some holes under the balconies

Your table with the lights in the building gives me an idea of a kind of night fight game using available light to detect as well as hide on the shadows. Some kind of negative modifier to subtract from range, this made me think about it because if its a small scale skirmish not all fights are going to be during the day.

Finally can post this, now Maya Cast 'Fall' competition has finished. My brother 'Reyzah' won it at the UK masters. It's a lovely centre piece and works on any table.

What with Black Friday Warensal deal and Antenocities Pre-order Undertown deal I kinda went overboard just before Xmas. It's taken a while, due to limited hobby time, but most of it is 'finished' now.

Took it out for a spin this weekend after watching other folks at a tournament playing on my virgin terrain a couple of weekends ago. Limited pics with minis from our games due to lots of reps and the horror of unpainted primed ones. Lot of fun though.
