according to v4 of the profiles download, it states in the 2nd Irregular Cameronians and in the USAMC entries that "the AVA of Cameronians replaces totally or partially the AVA of the Dog-warriors." Does this mean ALL Dog-warriors, or just that unit, or the number on the table, or the entire army? No note exists like this for the Dog-warriors unit (that have an AVA of 2). I'm confused and could use some clarification. Thanks, Arkangel
The Army Builder expands the notes a bit but essentially you can have a total of up to 2 of: Kazak Dog Warriors Cameronians Devil Dogs Personalities (Duroc, and McMurrogh if you're using mercs) do not count towards this limit.
Okay so that's how I was interpreting the rules. What threw me off was the rule for two wasn't listed with the Dog Warriors units from N3. But then again, I guess you could say it was implied since their AVA is 2. Not to mention damn scary if we had Ariadna armies with 2 Dog Warriors, 2 Caledonians, AND 2 USAMC Devil Dogs (that's 5 Dog Warriors and an Antipode for fun). And to make it truly frightening add in an Antipode Pack - so you have 5 Dog Warriors, 4 Antipodes, and let's do McMurdo in for fun. So now I understand how this could be abused without those rules. I don't think I could make a 300pt army that has 10 TAGs in it. On the next update to the personalities unit listing can you please insert that rule into the Dog Warriors unit? I'd hate to have to be a judge at a game where the player says "but it doesn't say that for Dog Warriors," and I end up having to concede because the player is right and has 4 dog Warriors/Antipodes on the table.
The Army Builder already flags any list with more than 2 Dog Warriors/Cameromians/Devil Dogs as illegal.
