Hi, all! Lets talk about the size of miniatures . Here i have core box, soldiers of fortune and smoke and mirrors. However size of this miniatures is not equivalent to the core box. Its like smoke and mirror box was made by someone else who didnt rly saw the game, but only heard of it... and tried to guess a size of a miniatures. The core box and a soldier of fortune has by far an figurines of smaller statue. Dont get me wrong, i love the game, love the miniatures, but i really dont like the size of smoke and mirror character box models.. So lets start. Father Mendoza for example is obviously towering over poor Hannibal. However they both have same shotgun, and yet mendoza looks like he carry space marine boltgun compared to Hannibals lasgun. Valkyrie should be mighty tall female warrior when compared to the "soldier of fortune" box, but when she stands to padre, or even Taowu she looks a bit taller. Was that on purpose for some reason?
Mendoza is in power armour and he has the same class of gun as Hannibal, but not the same model. Compare real life examples of shotguns, there are a lot of regular shaped ones that look like the same kind of thing people hunt ducks and deer with, but then there are also enormous things that look like they're made for hunting small aircraft and the occasional tank... Valkirie is something like 8 feet tall, Taowu is stretching himself out and floating a little bit lo-pan style, if you compare the regular sized people with each other they look about the same height.
I have beef with Valkyrie - She looks very appropriate as a huge towering woman, but I;d really prefer her to have the mass to go with it. Or any mass, really. If you visually delete the bulky knee- and shoulder-pads, she looks like a stick figure. I'm not sure if that was intentional.
Works for me :P I mean, I had the axe from the same plastic as everything, maybe you got a miscast, in which case CB might send you a proper one? Or did you mean that the weapon was bent out of the box? That's common for boardgame minis and easily fixed with hot water.
