Let's suppose Fusilier Angus is inside a Smoke template, which is placed by Perseus. Then a Grenzer Petra shoots through smoke with a blast mode Missile launcher to Angus. Angus is facing Petra, and he decides to react with Dodge. And the rulebook says... Dodge skill describes in its IMPORTANT box: A -3 PH MOD must be applied to the Dodge Roll in the following circumstances... If Dodging a Template Weapon without LoF to the attacker. Zero Visibillity Zone describes: (when the trooper is the target of an attack through Zero v. zone)...the Skills the target can declare in ARO, or as the second Short Skill of their Order, are limited to BS Attack with a -6 MOD, Dodge without the MOD. The question: Which would win? -3 Dodge since it's a Template Weapon without LOF to the attacker, or a Dodge without the MOD since it's an attack through Zero V. Zone?
-3 Dodge roll. "Dodge without the MOD" is referring to the -6 MOD normally suffered for returning fire through a zero visibility zone.
If Petra is using Hit Mode then Angus would Dodge on flats (without the Mod). I think "Dodge without the MOD" allows Angus to Dodge without applying *any* MOD caused by the ZVZ. But I can also see Triumph's POV.
