    Fluff:
The Assault Carrier 'Desert Duchess' hides inside its belly a Phoenix 3000 Reainmation Chamber, and a host of LHosts, to make sure the Sand Cats Tactical Security's very small team of Operatives are always ready to go back to the fray.

My fellow Haqqislam Commanders honored me by voting for my Wotan Battle Reports as their favorites; and sent me a Micro Arts Studio Objective Room, graciously donated by @John_Tenzer. So I decided to make something special and personal with it; and the Reanimation Chamber where my Sand Cats get brought back to life time and again, seemed like the perfect way to do so.

Inside the Tic Tac containers I'll have an LHost of one of my Odalisques (The Wrecking Belles). For the minis, I'll have to use another brand, since Corvus Belly doesn't make dormant LHosts (*cough* HINT!!! *cough*); and for the Medical equipment I'm using the defunct Spartan Scenics Med Lab Accesories.

I doubt CB will sell female spandex-dressed miniatures...

Oh, wait. O-Yoroi & Guijia pilots, Szalamander & Lizard pilots, Beva, and the Anaconda operator XD

What i saw somebody use (somewhere on the old forums) for this was those blank "dollies" they use as a basis for miniature sculptors. Not only are they (typically) cheap, but they sell the idea very well. If you have seen Schwarzenegger's The Sixth Day you'll get what they were aiming for.

You've used the word dressed. I do not think it means what you think it means.

Birthday dress all day, every day.

Some antique era (Celt, Egyptians) ranges are a good source for LHosts to be put in tanks.

I went with the Manufaktura Miniatures Slave series. I was lucky that there was a standing body type for how each of my 4 Odalisques look like.

It's a good thing i checked that out on the phone and not on the big screen work desktop :joy:
Kinkiness of many of these aside, the details on the minis is very good and the most "neutrally" posed really should work perfectly for this purpose, i'll have to keep them in mind, the only minis i have remotely similar to that in my usual suppliers are the human and the demon slave from Tiny Tales, and they aren't suitable for this particular job (next time they come around town i'll mention this idea to them, maybe they'll like it and make a couple of minis to be inserted on empty tic-tac boxes, more than once they have made things after people gave suggestions, they are creative types and love modding their own work).

Interesting, but what I saw as disclaimer on their ebay... I wouldn't take the risk, frankly

I see a website with it's own cart and not an ebay seller, unless it's a reseller, are you sure you're looking at the manufacturer itself and not just some dude selling his own secondhand things or something? Then again i'm doing this on the phone so i could be dead wrong...

Manufaktura has a news thread over at Dakka, here https://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/707514.page
and as you may well expect, very NSFW. The SFW thread is https://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/741520.page
The Company appears to be US based, since it would ship only to US addresses for the longest time. It now ships to Europe. By linking to a Forum thread that is for news and rumors, I am side-stepping the advertising ban, or at least trying too.

Don't forget to get that male odalisque Lhost too :scream:

Oh, I did! Bought two actually, but used one unpainted to test the Water Effect. The other one is sitting, waiting for a chance to be painted.

And here are the LHosts (also WIP, and probably NSFW)

Very good! Now i see what you were aiming at! The dude on the right was the first test, right? I suggest doing a fully zoomed pic when they're fully done, i'd love to see the detail on the breathing masks.

He has done far more than his last update on the forums, and at a first glance his technique seems to have improved even more (i see recasting in clear resin, for example, he hadn't done that before, and his modding looks even more impressive). Only he has gone even deeper into kink, so i don't think it no longer counts like Infinity stuff anymore, no wonder he stopped posting here. Interesting though, even though i'm much definitely not into it that way, his stuff is still crazy impressive. H.R.Giger would be proud.

Yes. I don't even know if he plays anymore. Maybe a revitalized Shasvastii sectorial will bring him back.

To the topic: Savonarola used round plastic containers from some source or the other. They look like the sort made from thin brittle acrylic. Not suitable for terrain, IMHO. The tictac containers like Danger Rose is using, and which I used for a project are the BPA free plastic, which is not as brittle, but is slightly cloudy. These are probably the better choice, despite the cloudiness. The best solution of which I can conceive is to get a length of polycarbonate tubing and cut it to length. Clear and very durable. I intend to get some to make "sleeves" for some of my Malifaux minis. Such tiny, delicate, fragile parts on them. I'm afraid to use them.

Ah, interesting material for water effects... Elmer's clear glue.

Savo sounded tired of the forum dances (close them, not, replace without migration...) and (IIRC) new sculpt, style and "dealienization" choices. So he gave up and went his own way, also check https://xeno-savonarola.deviantart.com/ as another contact path. By the metadata reported by Flickr, he lives in the future, BTW.

:see_no_evil::see_no_evil::see_no_evil: My work rarely survives close inspection. I will post a close up as I finish them.

I just had a terrible accident with the blonde one, the mask fell off and I havne't been able to fix it (I actually managed to make it worse. I'll have to redo that one. *Sigh* That means buying another mini.

Or the Bruce Willis one, Surrogates.
There's a scene where his character (who, like many in that world, are all agoraphobes) has to go get a new "sleeve" for his remote rig, and the store has a variety of male and female realistic looking mannequins (all of which are RealDoll(tm) models.

There's a couple of other RealDolls(tm) in Altered Carbon, too (as dormant "synth" sleeves).

Weeeeell... in the third book, Kovacs starts using a fully syntetic sleeve, due to tactical advantages... But everyone prefers organic ones there, since the sensations are natural, instead of alien (like a house full of wind currents, was described in the first book).
