My next battle will be in a dense jungle terain. Among the special rules of this terrain there`s the following: no combat jump allowed. My questions are 1) Is also tactical jump (Van Zant) forbidden ? Or maybe not ? 2) And the normal para-troopers (airborne rangers)... can they use their AD level skill in order to enter from the flanks ??
Is this an official scenario or a home brew? If it's created by someone then you'd have to ask them. Generally Combat Jump refers to levels 3,4, and 5 of the Airbirne Deployment skill http://wiki.infinitythegame.com/en/...t=no#AIRBORNE_DEPLOYMENT_LEVEL_4._COMBAT_JUMP which means that troopers need to come in using level 1 or 2 (remember that numbers skills grant all lower levels). AD X - Tactical Jump will also work.
Where do you see the "no combat jump allowed" rule? I do not see any mentions of this in the terrain rules or the hostility rule http://infinitythewiki.com/en/Special_Terrain_Rules http://infinitythewiki.com/en/Game_Elements:_Terminology_and_Alignment PS: Xenotech was last season (ITS10), we are not on ITS11.
I assume they're playing the Xenotech Narrative event missions, though I can't find any reference to combat jump restrictions for the Frontline Misson in the PDF.
