So I have been collecting a lot of CA and Tohaa. And I love the MAF (Space Snow Monkey Brutes). I am getting the last pieces for this list in today. Do you think this would be a good list for a learning/intro game: Morat Demo Game ────────────────────────────────────────────────── 9 4 MORAT Lieutenant Combi Rifle / Pistol, Knife. (1 | 14) MORAT K1 Sniper Rifle / Pistol, Knife. (1 | 21) MORAT HMG / Pistol, Knife. (1 | 22) MORAT Paramedic (MediKit) Combi Rifle / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 16) MORAT (Forward Observer) Combi Rifle / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 15) KRAKOT RENEGADE 2 Chain Rifles, Grenades / Pistol, DA CC Weapon. (0 | 14) KRAKOT RENEGADE 2 Chain Rifles, Grenades / Pistol, DA CC Weapon. (0 | 14) DĀTURAZI Chain Rifle, Grenades, Smoke Grenades / Pistol, AP CCW. (0 | 14) DĀTURAZI Chain Rifle, Grenades, Smoke Grenades / Pistol, AP CCW. (0 | 14) 3 SWC | 144 Points Open in Infinity Army I feel it has enough options to get a feel for most of the rules. But what are your opinions. The only thing I can think of is try to get a hacker and maybe a Rodok in there to learn to work with Super-jump since Rodoks are integral in a lot of CA lists these days.
Don't get to big for intro games. Take not more then 6 Orders. New player are normally overwhelmed by the rules.
This Six orders max, so people can't go rambo on each other. No links, not too many special skills or complicated equipment. Best case - each unit has at least some kind of appeal and role. For MAF I'd go with something like this: Morat Aggression Force ────────────────────────────────────────────────── 6 2 SURYAT MULTI Rifle + Light Flamethrower / Pistol, CCW. (0 | 41) OZNAT Stalker Unit (Sensor) Vulkan Shotgun, Smoke Grenades + 1 Sync Preta / Pistol, DA CCW. (0 | 29) SYNC PRETA Chain Rifle / AP CCW. (0 | 8) RODOK HMG / Pistol, Knife. (1.5 | 27) ZERAT Hacker (EI Assault Hacking Device) Combi Rifle, D-Charges / Pistol, Knife. (0.5 | 25) DĀTURAZI Chain Rifle, Grenades, Smoke Grenades / Pistol, AP CCW. (0 | 14) MORAT Lieutenant Combi Rifle / Pistol, Knife. (1 | 14) 3 SWC | 150 Points Open in Infinity Army
Just take the starter boxes and play through the operation missions. Its possibly the best way to slowly introduce someone to Infinity. The order structure and system is complex enough to take in without the extra rules involved. Just let them taste orders and the dice mechanics and let them build on that.
