Hi, everyone, This past week we've been discussing about the rule section organisation. Some of us were asking for a specific subsection to pull apart topics with suggestions, complains and some debate about rules. Those topics trend to be kind of toxic and they don't add anything constructive in an immediate future. But, of course they may be interesting as background feedback for future rule changes or additions. This are the current organisation proposals. (If you have another in mind, just say it and I'll add it) Option 1: Rule Q&A and Rule Debate at the same level of organisation (Outside Rule section) Infinity |- Game . |- [Rules Q&A] . |- [Rules Debate] . |- battle reports . |- ... Option 2: Debate Subsection inside Rules section Infinity: |- Game . |- Rules . |- [Rules Debate]. |- battle reports . |- ... Option 3: Q&A subsection inside a Rule general section Infinity: |- Game . |- Rules . |- [Questions & Answers]. |- battle reports . |- ... Option 4: Specific Subsections inside Rules Section Infinity: |- Game . |- Rules . |- [Questions & Answers] . |- [Rules Feedback] (among other things, discrepancies between translations) . |- [Rules Debauchery/Offtopic] (new rules, calculations, debates...) . |- .... |- battle reports . |- ... Option 5: Rule debate Subsection Exclusive for warcors (It cant be seen by normal users) ________________________________________________________________________________ The other question is how to name the involved sections/subsections. This are some of the sugested names until now: Section to debate, sugest and complain Rule Sugestions Rule Debate Rule Debauchery Rule Wishlisting Rule Oftopic Section to ask about rule doubts, rule interaction, transliation errors,... Rules Rules Q&A Other names Rules feedback
Voted for option 2, though option 1 is also OK. As far as section names go, I think I like Rule Wishlisting for the debate/suggestion forum, and Rules Q&A for the general question section. But I really think we should add explanation subtitles below the forum names, so Rules Q&A would have a subtitle of "'How does this rule work' and 'translation issues' go here" and Rules Wishlisting would have a subtitle of "'Why does the rule work this way' and 'this rule should be changed because ...' go here"
Agreed here, though perhaps a sticky post at the top of each one with the main idea for the subsection will be sufficient.
No oficial response from @Koni or CB since December 21th. I don't know if they have forgotten about this matter, but the more they wait, the more work efforts will cost.
