    Hi all,

    New to Tohaa here.
I have searched the net and also this forum for this specific question but so far haven't found a satisfactory explanation. Maybe I'm reading the rules wrong so in that case my bad...

The question is about the second assigned Symbiomate when the first mate is activated and the Kaeltar specialist goes to dead state - is the 2nd one still usable or is it also removed when the Kaeltar dies?

I find this hard to interpret.

    Thanks in advance!

Corahtar Discipline is a deployment skill. It allows you to deploy Symbiomates or Symbiobombs. Once deployed, there is not a cancellation clause for the assigned equipment outside of those outlined in the use of Symbiomates (or bombs). The key one being that the assigned trooper have active symbiont armor.

In short, the death of the Kaeltar or the other Symbiomate being used does not effect the Symbiomate in question.

You misunderstood something in the rules. When you deploy your Kaeltar, you can place 2 symbiomates (or bombs), each of them goes to a troop with symbiont armor, and up to 1 mate/bomb per troop. After that the bombs/mates have nothing to do with the Kaeltar.

So you don't place the bombs/mates on the Kaeltar, but on two other troops.

Thanks guys! (No I understand that the mates aren't assigned to the Kaeltar )

I realise that it was "Game example 1" in the wiki that made me think that the Kaeltar somehow dies when either of the mates are used (I guess my imagination though of some kind of alien ghost linked armour... ).

    Thanks again!

note: they must be assigned at the same time as the kaeltar is deployed, no sticking them on a model youve kept in reserve or on a model using AD
