Last game I had troubles with rules. Active player declared coordinated order Move + CC with two of Specnaz and Veteran Kazak, target is Fiday. Veteran was a Spearhead. And we have a bunch of rules here, describing this situation: * Troops declaring CC Attack apply a MOD of +1 to their B for each ally that is in base to base contact, and in Engaged state, with the target of their attack and is not activated either by an Order or an ARO. * In a Coordinated Order, the Spearhead trooper uses half the usual Burst (B) of his weapon, including any bonuses, rounded up. and in game example in rulebook there four Morats make a coordinated CC attack with Dragao and spearhed do B4 CC attack. Those are just a mess. Can someone clarify how Burst in coordinated Close combat is calculated?
First important point: All of the troopers in the coordinated order are activated by the order, so the first bullet point doesn't apply to them. The bonus for bystanders won't apply because of one of the coordinated order bullet points. Second important point: The second bullet point you quoted doesn't apply at all. Third important point: The bullet point you're looking for are the ones near the end of the effects lists: In Close Combat, only the Spearhead trooper will perform the CC Roll, getting a MOD of +1 to his B and +1 to the PHAttribute for Damage for each friendly trooper participating in the Coordinated Order engaged with the adversary. Other friendly troopers engaged in that CC but not participating in the Coordinated Order don't provide any Bonus to the Spearhead trooper. In close combat you almost always just have a B1. That B1 gets increased by the first bullet point I pasted above. That gives you the results of the example of 1 (the leader's B1) +3 (one for each of the other models in the coordinated order, since they're all in base contact) = B4.
I have ask why the Vet Kazak was the spearhead? The Spetsnaz have a much better CC and the martial arts skill... [Actually, against the Fiday, I wouldn't use CC anyway ].
