I found that there was an ARO trait on the combat jump. However, the Wiki says that hacking is basically only possible when enemy models are inside the hacking area. Does that mean that other enemy models must enter the hacking area of EVO hackers to use controlled jumps as an ARO? Even though it's too restrictive? I think the controlled jump of the N4 Wiki is missing the part that ARO is possible when a combat jump trooper declares a combat jump. https://forum.corvusbelli.com/threads/controlled-jump-as-aro.37953/ I found a thread related to this, but honestly I couldn't get a clear answer, so I post this thread.
Per the FAQ, "A Controlled Jump ARO is considered valid against a Combat Jump Entire Order anywhere on the table, or against any Skill in the Hacker’s Hacking Area." So you can wait until they try to drop their troop, and ARO with Controlled Jump (in which case they suffer the -3 mod to land their troop) even if they're not dropping in your hacking area. If you want Controlled Jump active in advance of them dropping (probably because you want the +3 bonus to land your own jump troop), you can spend an order to put it up in your turn. But you can save the order if, before then, any enemy unit acts in the EVO's hacking area - in that case you can ARO to put it up.
