If you fail one Deployment Skill that requires a roll can you then make use of a different Deployment Skill? Specifically in situations where MI get 2 different Deployment Skills due Bravery. Ie. A Prowler attempts of Infiltrate to deploy in the opponent's half of the table. They fail the Phys roll and then use Forward Deployment to deploy 4" outside their Deployment Zone as a figure not a marker. A Meteor uses AD:4 and fails the Phys roll. The deploy on the table edge within their DZ or up to 4" outside their DZ?
Prowler - I can't see how. Failing the Infiltration Roll doesn't let you deploy he trooper normally, but explicitly places it in your Deployment Zone touching the table edge. Meteor - as above, plus it's a REM so nothing is granting it Forward Deployment anyway. Are you thinking of Hellcats and AD5?
The same applies - if Dispersion takes the AD trooper off-table, into/within the enemy DZ or somewhere they can't be placed, they go in your DZ touching a table edge.
@inane.imp You asking over BTV yeah? the Akals dont roll until they AD in as that is when they deploy, if they fail that then they follow the rules for confused deployment
Nah I was basically asking "so Prowlers get fucked, yeah?". But the "how does Confused Deployment + 2 Deployment Skills work" is a decent question. I'm going to assume that it doesn't get to use FD:1 after failing the roll though based on the other questions.
As @ijw say. If you fail the roll, the Dispersion rule state that you have to deploy on the borders of the table within the limits of de Deployment Zone.
