Can any trooper with combat jump deploy in deployment phase using combat jump skill? Bonus points if you can combine this with Border Skirmish rule.
Combat Jump is not a Deployment skill, and requires declaring an Entire Order skill, which isn't possible during the Deployment Phase. The exceptions are AI beacons that deploy during the Deployment Phase, so I guess you can technically deploy them with Border Skirmish, though I'm not sure why you would.
It's free buff. I like free buffs. If you roll for combat jump (ph12), you might fail the roll which will take a valuable hiding spot next to your deployment zone table edge.
