This is the format for Code One releases: What do we expect to get? Action Pack (split between Operation box and Beyond Box) : - 3 x Algs - EVAder MR - Wildcat HRL - Sombre Hacker - Tomcat MR - Intruder Hacker - Vostok FTO - Jaguar - Wolf Mc Wolfface (Pre-order LE) Dire Foe: - Morlock Spec Ops TAG Pack: - Lizard Squadron Booster Pack Alpha: - MB MR+LFT - Intruder MSR - Hellcat Spitfire Booster Pack Bravo: - Spectre Combi - Grenzer MSR - Kriza Mk 12 Hero: - Carlotta and Moriarty That gives us a Code One structure that is: Algs Jaguars Tomcats Wildcats Grenzers Intruders Hellcats Sombre Spectres EVAders Mobile Brigada Kriza Vostoks Lizard Daktaris Clockmaker Zondbots Zonds Morlock Spec Ops Carlotta Wolf McWolfFace Positions Nomads as a strong AD faction with a decent midfield as well as giving access to Warband-style troops. 2 Hackers + a REM in the Action Pack also shows off the faction focus in these style of trooops. Using both Booster Packs to repack models from the existing Action Pack limits the amount of reproduction of current era models that is required (only the Algs are reproductions and only the Healer is lost).
I am curious whether they'll drop the current Nomad Action Pack, or keep it and instead replace the Corregidor starter with line Wildcats. Do you mean Moderator Spec Ops, not Morlock Spec Ops? We won't see any Impetuous or Smoke units in Code One. I don't think we'll see Jaguars in Code One as I can't see them adding Smoke into Code One, or taking it off the profile. I could see a new Carlota and possibly Jazz and Billie being in a pack. I am hoping the pre-order is a REM Racer - they have rules listed in Code One. Definitely agree that this will see Vostok, Sombras and Evaders turning up. I also agree the Lizard is the TAG for Code One, both in terms of needing an overhaul and being a nice starter TAG.
Codeone isn't my thing but I'm excited if it prompts attention from CB to things that need attention in Nomads - legacy non digital sculpts that need updating badly, and left behind profiles, same.
I'd actually really like to see the REM Racer as a preorder bonus as it means both Ariadna battle packs will have had Hackers as their limited edition mini, which is hilarious to me.
For the operations + beyond Box, I would assume a similar content like the current Corregidor Starter. 3 Wildcat 1 Sombra 1 Evader 1 Tomcat 1 Bandit 1 Vostok 1 Hellcat
Bandits in CodeOne won't happen unless they become Regular - which I'd really fancy for their use in StarCo
I think Vostok and Moran will be in the booster pack while we will see Sombra and Evader surely in the core. Maybe, maybe Jazz and Billie in one of the booster ?
Morans are highly unlikely unless they give them a Perimeter-less profile, which also means they won't have CK's in the booster, so no thanks.
I doubt we'll see Jazz and Billie. Billie would take up a Trooper slot in one of the blisters/boxes. Those are the real limiting factor. If CB keeps the OP:IS Action Pack then it'll open a lot of new ground for Boost Pack Alpha and Bravo. But honestly, with the state of that era's minies releasing at least 3 of them as a Booster Pack is highly expected.
I was also hoping to get Morans in Codeone, but then he would be naked since there are no CrazyKoalas, Repeater, Forward Observer, d-charges in CodeOne
Keep in mind we could also see a new character as the Hero blister, or a resculpt of an existing character (not necessarily a Corregidor one - be it Tunguzka, or Bakunin). Bran Do Castro, for example, has a pretty old and fiddly (if classical!) model. If memory serves me, he could definitely use a resculpt using the new 3d sculpting techniques... And there's always Lupe Balboa, too, should CB decide to break the old Dire Foes packs. I'm pretty sure the Dire Foes Nomad vs Ariadna will bring us a different character.
If the pattern is the same as Kaldstrom: the Operation box, the Beyond box and the Dire Foes box will be linked to the sectorial, but other boxes and blisters will not be necessarily linked to the sectorial. If that's the case, that means the character in the Dire Foes box will be for Corregidor. Jazz and Carlota don't fit as they both have a named peripheral (excuding them from both C1 and a DF box) and all other characters of the Corregidor roster are mercenaries so the incoming character could be a new one as I don't think the exiting Dire Foes boxes will be changed. Wolfgang, being playable in both Corregidor and Kosmoflot, has a huge target on his back to be the LE mini.
Zondbots exist in C1, which allows Moriarty. The issue with Billie is he's actually a Trooper so can't be in the Action Pack because CJC already has an issue with cost for its action pack (it'll be well short of 300pts unless there's MB). Updated Lupe model is actually quite reasonable. But Morlock Spec Ops is a lot cooler.
Yeah, I forgot about Zondbots. Hero blister with Jazz and Billie or Carlota and Moriarty (like the blister with Zoe an Pi-Well) is more likely now you point it. Or it will be a blister with the normal release version of Wolfgang (like Liang Kai).
The blisters being general release versions of the preorder bonus and Gen Con exclusive minis would mirror the Kaldstrøm releases with the Kunai and Liang Kai.
