What would you say is the best 3 units in the game??? (all things considered) 1. ? 2. ?? 3. ??? Briefly explain why you chose them too! :)
I- Actually can't think of any honestly- I was about to suggest the Su-Jian into at least one of the spots, but somehow I have the feeling there are way overall better units out there- Also, for some reason I feel like cheap Skirmishers are probably in that list as well-
Mutts, WarCor and the Kamau Sniper in full link. Honourable mention to the Kaeltar Specialist. Mutts and Warcor for similar reasons: extremely cheap, always reliable impact (even if just to absorb an order or two). Kamau: it's the new high water mark (doho) in reactive firepower. I've won games just because it existed. Kaeltar: feel like this one probably doesn't need explaining. Or, the cop out answer: any of a huge number of things - when piloted by sufficiently good players.
1. Mutts 2. Post-Humans, any combination 3. Kaeltar CoC profile The first two because they are criminally under-priced and the latter because it's the game's strongest force multiplier. And because it, too, is under-priced.
I'd prolly now say... Kaeltars, Mutts and Ikadrons. Kaeltars because... Kaeltars. Mutts aren't at the top IMO, simply due to them not being as good in Bahram as in vanilla ( Mostly because there's no MSV2 in Bahram to combo with the smoke. ). And Ikadrons because... It's a fast, cheap REM that gets nearly as many tools ( Albeit different tools. ) as a Mutt. They got Baggage, Repeaters, a 6-2 MOV, Flash Pulse, duel LFTs, a pistol AND in the event your G:Mnemonica LT dies... they simply take over.
Ghazi (durable, great smoke dodge, can threaten anything from orderbots to camo to HI links, all that for 5pts), Posthumans (disposable combo unit that costs peanuts for what it does), Kaeltar (symbiomates let you straight ignore part of game mechanics). Honorable mention to Ikadrons but they fought fair so didn't get on the podium.
Ghazi, posthumans, libertos Why not Asura, Marut and Mobile Brigada? Because its not game for expensive models;)))
1. Chaksa Auxiliar HFT Sensor 2. Chasseur Rifle + LFT 3. Posthumans Chaksa are cheap and versatile Chasseur is thanks to Six Senth L1 + LFT really good Posthumans ...
Kamau MSR in a link team is the best ARO in the game. I still think that the Su Jian is the best-for-points active turn attacker in the game.
This is probably the most fun link I play with: Japanese Secessionist Army ────────────────────────────────────────────────── 5 3 OYAMA Lieutenant Chain Rifle, E/M Grenades / Breaker Pistol, AP CCW, EXP CCW. (0 | 28) DOMARU Spitfire / Pistol, E/M CCW, Shock CC Weapon. (2 | 39) TANKŌ Missile Launcher / Pistol, Monofilament CC Weapon, Shock CC Weapon. (1.5 | 32) TANKŌ Flammenspeer, Contender / Pistol, Monofilament CC Weapon, Shock CC Weapon. (0 | 23) TANKŌ Blitzen, Submachine Gun / Pistol, Monofilament CC Weapon, Shock CC Weapon. (0 | 23) 3.5 SWC | 145 Points Open in Infinity Army Can swap the Flammenspeer for another blitzen if you're playing PanO or someone with lots of HI, or swap the Blitzen for another Flammenspeer if you're playing Tohaa. But my tournament default is one of each.
Kaeltar because they're where the 'Mates come from, probably the only genuinely overpowered mechanic in the game Ghazi you can't argue with their incredible effectiveness for cost Everything is is basically fine.
Kamau MSR in a link is great in a vacuum, though practically I expect any TO ARO to have a bigger impact and chalk up a higher bodycount. A less impressive piece that your opponent can't calculate is much more effective than a unit that sits out there plain and visible, waiting for someone to engineer the best counter against it. For me, best units: Anything with Infiltrate, Camo and mines for less than 25 points. Objective completing, area denial, gunfighting, order efficiency, free movement, these are all game-winning elements in a point efficient package. Anything with a Regular Order and a direct template that's 9 points or less. Chain rifle/lsg Caledonian volunteer is one of the best units you can buy, and the Kuang Shi is right up there too. CA has an offering in this category also. For cheerleading, the template beats the hell out of a Rifle any day. Anything that's BS12+ and can go in a mixed team of mooks. BS16+ used to be something that cost half your points to achieve. Now piles of Sectorials can do it. I'm not complaining (I'm excited to put this to work myself) and I think it does a good thing for units like Highlander Greys or ORCs who might not see much time otherwise, but that's a wildly efficient package.
1.karltar- symbio mates are just the worse 2. Mutts - isolation though walls shuts down most rambos 3 . Post humans - are cheap and only lose their order if you kill them all and the netrods Honourable mention to speculo and fidays for been able to quite reliable murdering the LT/Dvt/data tracker first couple of orders with very little your opponent can do . Two levels of impersonation is so good .
From my limited experience: 1. Hsien HMG; has heavy weapon, MSV2, passable close-combat gear for advancing through the midfield and weirdly resilient, fantastic LT choice. 2. Guilang FO; Camo Infiltrator with MSV for taking on other Camo Infiltrators, Deployable Repeaters, high WIP for objective taking, Reset, Flash Pulsing and Forward Observation. 3. Kirpal Singh; every mention of him brings me great joy and that is everything I want in a unit.
