I have the same problem. Tried multiple formats of an image and multiple sizes (208x208 all the way up to 500x800).

I'm running latest Chrome (no Java, no Flash).

I've been having the profile image problem since Monday night (5 days).

same problem, the acdcept buton simply don't work. you press but nothing happens

 

It seems is working now (both avatar upload and attachments uploads).
