Can a unit leader pass through other troops in the formation or do the other troopers bodyblock the leader?
So other troopers partially bodyblock the leader movement. The leader can however teleport inside a trooper.
Quoting tox's message: "without colliding with the base of an enemy unit, a neutral unit or the base of a terrain element that prevents movement (Impassable)" Friendly units are not mentioned in there.
Little selective with the quotes here? “Your unit cannot pass through the troops that form the unit.” Such clear and precise language. Another case of Normus Belli. Look let’s not make this difficult. If the devs want the movement to work the same way as in Warmachine, then they should say that you remove all non-leader troops when the unit declares move and teleport them back in when the leader has finished movement.
That's wrong. It is "Your unit cannot pass through the troops that form A unit" because it is speaking about OTHER units. When you move a unit, for how the rules are writte, you could even remove Troopers, move Leader, PLACE Troopers (yes, the term used in the rulebook is "place")
Thank you for clarifying the issue. Hopefully this gets put into the FAQ so that the players don’t have dig through forum to find the correct way to play.
